Jessi’s Assault Incident: Previous Attack in a Club Follows Same Pattern

During the October 16 episode of JTBC’s “Crime Chief,” an informant known as A disclosed that in 2013, they were assaulted by Jessi and her associates at an Itaewon nightclub. A reported sustaining injuries that necessitated a two-week medical treatment period, alleging that Jessi held them back, effectively making her an accomplice in the incident. In response, Jessi denied the accusations, asserting that she was attempting to break up a confrontation involving her friends.

A recounted, “We coincidentally crossed paths in the restroom, where they instigated a fight and attacked me for no reason.” A further claimed, “Jessi and her entourage assaulted me, attempting to submerge my face in the toilet. They seized my bag and demanded that I kneel and apologize for its return.”

A, who identifies as a Korean-American, shared that although the assault occurred shortly before their departure from Korea, they were unable to pursue legal actions due to job obligations and existing travel plans.

A criticized Jessi’s assertion that the assailant had left the country, stating, “They claimed that back then as well.” They sarcastically questioned, “Is the attacker Chinese? That’s a laugh.”

Jessi found herself embroiled in a different alleged assault on the night of September 29. An 18-year-old fan, referred to as B, reportedly approached Jessi in a nearby alley asking for a photograph. Allegedly, a member of Jessi’s group confronted B using derogatory language in English and obstructed his path, while Jessi politely turned down the request. Following B’s exit, another individual from the group reportedly struck him in the face.

B expressed his disappointment, stating, “I was hit, yet there was hardly any response. Even in the footage, Jessi merely stood by observing. I used to be her fan, but witnessing that was truly disheartening.”

In her defense, Jessi explained that she had declined the fan’s request on two occasions due to the late hour, noting that the incident occurred unexpectedly involving someone she had just met that day. She commented, “I was so taken aback by what happened that I couldn’t adequately attend to the fan in that moment.”

On October 16, Jessi arrived at the Gangnam Police Station for questioning as a suspect. Prior to entering the building, she addressed reporters, stating, “I hope they identify the individual who assaulted them and bring them to justice,” reiterating that she had only encountered the attacker that evening.
