Jessi’s Entourage Reportedly Attacks Fan After Photo Request, Agency States Attacker’s Identity is Unknown

On October 11, the JTBC news program “Crime Chief”featured a troubling account from a fan who allegedly faced an assault by members of Jessi’s entourage after asking for a photo.

This incident took place on September 29, when a devoted fan of Jessi encountered her in a secluded alley and politely requested a photograph. Although Jessi responded with, “I’m sorry,”and the fan stepped back, one of the men in Jessi’s group is said to have blocked the fan’s exit while hurling insults, while another individual reportedly punched the fan in the face.

The victim stated that the violent act was entirely unforeseen, leaving them paralyzed with fear and unable to flee. Although Jessi initially appeared to step in, she ultimately departed, which left the fan disheartened.

Following the altercation, the victim notified the police, but by that time, Jessi and her companions had already vacated the scene. After nearly an hour of searching, the police and the victim located Jessi at a nearby bar, though the assailant was not present. Jessi, along with her agency, refuted any association with the attacker, labeling him as an unknown figure.

Jessi’s agency subsequently asserted that the man involved was merely a friend of a producer and had no ties to Jessi herself. They also indicated that they would be open to ethical compensation if a relationship with the victim was officially recognized.

The victim has identified the assailant as a foreign national of Chinese descent. After the event, the victim’s mother approached Jessi’s agency to file a complaint; however, the agency denied any involvement and did not respond further. The victim expressed disappointment over the ambiguous responses received from both the police and the agency.

In an effort to identify the perpetrator, police plan to interview the producer linked to Jessi. Jessi’s agency has proclaimed that the individual responsible must face consequences and has promised to collaborate with law enforcement.
