Jey Uso on WWE’s Signing Mistake

Jey Uso on WWE’s Signing Mistake

Despite Logan Paul extending his WWE contract in April, there is a belief among some superstars that the company may have chosen the wrong Paul brother to sign.

Upon his arrival at the April 29 episode of Monday Night Raw, Logan Paul was warmly welcomed by Damian Priest, the reigning World Heavyweight Champion.

After exchanging a dap, the two praised each other before Paul took a jab at Priest’s top contender for the heavyweight championship, Jey Uso.

‘The Maverick’ made a prediction for the upcoming match, stating, “At Backlash this Saturday, you will dominate and defeat the unattractive Uso brothers.”

After Paul mockingly inquired, “What’s his name again?”Uso was given the opportunity to respond later in the evening.

A reporter inquired from Uso, who was selected as Raw’s top draft pick, about Logan’s recent WWE agreement and its significance. “I am pleased that we have signed a Paul brother,”Uso stated. “I only wish it was the one with a better track record.”

Uso’s remark sparked an immediate and vigorous response from the audience, resulting in numerous “oohs”and bursts of laughter at the expertly delivered comeback.

Despite this, Logan has managed to maintain a winning record since joining the WWE. With a 6-2 record in singles matches and a perfect 1-0 record in tag team battles, he has proven to be a formidable competitor.

It is probable that Uso was referring to Logan’s underwhelming performance in the boxing ring. The ex-influencer boxer proudly presents a record of 1-2-1, which includes an exhibition match against Floyd Mayweather Jr.

On the contrary, Jake Paul boasts a superior record in his boxing career, with a record of 9-1. Additionally, his upcoming fight with Mike Tyson will count towards both of their professional records.

Even though Jake has a stronger record in his own sport, it cannot be ignored that Logan has achieved immediate success in the WWE. Despite being in the industry for only two years, he has already earned one of the most esteemed titles in the world of professional wrestling.

Uso’s pursuit of a championship could potentially lead him straight to Paul’s US title, should the latter be unable to defeat Priest at Backlash.

Despite the recent exchange of insults between the two, it is evident that the WWE is strategically setting the stage for a future showdown between Uso and Paul.
