After two years, Twitch has lifted the ban on JiDion, who was initially banned for initiating a “hate raid”against fellow streamer Pokinane.
JiDion was pleasantly surprised to find that his Twitch channel had been restored. He had only recently resumed creating content after rediscovering his faith and shifting his video focus to Christianity.
On January 12, 2022, JiDion was banned from Twitch after Pokimane was forced to abruptly end her stream due to an influx of new viewers from JiDion’s stream who were bombarding her with spam.
Due to JiDion’s actions of directing his audience to Poki’s channel, the platform owned by Amazon imposed the most severe consequence on the streamer: a permanent ban.
JiDion has finally been unbanned on Twitch.
Despite eventually reconciling and even collaborating in person, the ban remained in effect between the two creators.
Over the next few months, JiDion repeatedly submitted appeals to Twitch in hopes of being unbanned, but they were all rejected.
In 2023, he criticized Twitch for denying his appeal and declared that he would utilize his platform to promote the message of Jesus Christ if his ban was lifted.
Initially, there was no progress, but then on April 26, 2024, JiDion announced that he was filing another appeal and remained optimistic for a favorable outcome.
“He captioned a screenshot of his request, stating that it had been 832 days and he desperately wanted to watch Kai’s Ghost of Tsushima playthrough.”
On May 6, 2024, JiDionPremium’s account on the streaming platform Twitch suddenly reappeared, much to the astonishment of its owner JiDion.
“He mentioned in a post on X that it occurred…”
Despite not announcing a specific date, JiDion’s highly anticipated return stream is sure to be one of the most significant events on Twitch this year, considering the lengthy process it took for the streamer to regain access to his account.
