Jimmy John’s Introduces Sandwich Featuring Giant Pickle Instead of Regular Bun

Jimmy John’s, the well-known sandwich chain, has introduced an exciting new creation named the Picklewich, which swaps out the traditional bun for an oversized pickle.

On Thursday, October 24, the ‘Freaky Fast’ eatery showcased this distinctive dill pickle-flavored offering.

A press release mentions that the Picklewich “provides all the tastes of a classic Jimmy John’s sandwich” while catering to those looking for a low-carb option.

This innovative item comes with a twist: instead of their standard 8-inch bun, the Picklewich presents its fillings between a halved colossal dill pickle.

Customers can choose from two varieties. The Vito Picklewich includes salami, capocollo, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, oil and vinegar, and basil. For a simpler option, the Turkey Picklewich contains just turkey, provolone, lettuce, and tomato.

Alongside this new pickle-inspired sandwich, Jimmy John’s will also be reintroducing its Dill Pickle flavored Jimmy Chips for a limited period.

Those eager to try the Picklewich can visit their nearest Jimmy John’s location starting Monday, October 28, through Thursday, November 14.

Moreover, rewards members can enjoy a special 50% discount on the Picklewich during National Sandwich Day, which falls on November 3, 2024. However, this offer is valid only with the purchase of another 8-inch sub.

This introduction is the latest in a series of new menu items from popular fast-food brands. KFC launched its new Original Recipe Chicken Tenders on October 16, replacing its previous offerings.

Meanwhile, McDonald’s has also made headlines by bringing back its beloved McRib sandwich, although currently, it’s only available to customers in the United Kingdom. While the return sparked considerable excitement, many fans took to social media to express their dissatisfaction over the lack of sauce on their sandwiches.
