On June 12th, Jin went live on the global fan communication platform Weverse Live, sharing, “I am overwhelmed with happiness and couldn’t help but shed tears. I had already cried twice before and even when bidding farewell to my fellow soldiers.”He expressed his emotions as he was discharged from the military.
On that day, Jin was officially released from his duties in the Army Infantry Division 5 in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do. All BTS members, with the exception of Suga, were present at the discharge ceremony to congratulate Jin.
Jin is scheduled to participate in the 2024 FESTA event at Seoul Sports Complex tomorrow (June 13th). The event will be divided into two parts, hosted by Jin. During the first section, Jin will hold a free hug event for 1000 fortunate fans. In the second part, he will engage with even more fans through communication.
Jin expressed his thoughts on the two segments of the event, stating, “Due to the limited time for preparation, I was unable to plan a more impressive event. It has been one and a half years since I last sang, so I may have forgotten how to do so properly. I ask for your understanding if my performance is not up to par or if I make mistakes or struggle with speaking. I will put in my best efforts,”creating anticipation among his fans for the event.
Finally, Jin promised, “I will return as a more present Seok-jin and make an effort to visit you all more often. Thank you for your love and support. I will share my thoughts and feelings tomorrow and bring a camera to capture memories with everyone. I have taken great care of myself before being discharged and I look forward to returning tomorrow with a refreshed appearance.”
