This highly anticipated update will introduce a new world full of fresh stories, exciting adventures, new friends and characters, hidden secrets, and so much more. Fans have eagerly awaited the launch of this game, and the release is just around the corner.

One of the major highlights of Wuthering Waves is its gacha, which offers a variety of exciting features. The initial gacha release showcases the highly coveted 5-star character, Jiyan, who was previously seen in the Closed Beta Tests and is now officially part of the game.

Release Date for Jiyan in Wuthering Waves

Jiyan is scheduled to be released at the same time as phase 1 of Wuthering Waves’ initial patch update. Therefore, you can anticipate him to be accessible on May 22, 2024.

Jiyan is a character in Wuthering Waves who specializes in DPS and utilizes the Aero element. His primary weapon of choice is the Broadblade.

Basic Attack – Lone Lance

Jiyan executes up to 5 consecutive attacks as part of their Basic Attack, causing Aero DMG to be dealt.

Jiyan expends Stamina to thrust forward, inflicting Aero DMG with a heavy attack.

Windborne Strike: While performing a Heavy Attack, hold the Basic Attack button to unleash Windborne Strike after the Heavy Attack is completed, causing Aero DMG to the target.

Heavy Attack: Abyssal Slash: Trigger Abyssal Slash by releasing the Basic Attack at the end of the Heavy Attack, dealing Aero DMG.

Mid-air Attack: Jiyan expends Stamina to execute a Mid-Air Plunge, causing Aero DMG. After the plunge, utilize Basic Attack to execute a subsequent strike, inflicting Aero DMG.

Mid-air Attack- Banner of Triumph: Jiyan can execute a mid-air attack by casting either the Heavy Attack Windborne Strike or the Resonance Skill Windqueller while in the air, causing Aero DMG to be inflicted.

Dodge Counter: After successfully dodging an attack, you can follow up with a Basic Attack to deal Aero DMG to the target.

Resonance Skill – Windqueller

Rush ahead for a specific distance, causing Aero damage.

Resonance Liberation- Emerald Storm: Prelude

Once Emerald Storm: Prelude is released, Jiyan switches into Qingloong Mode.

Qingloong Mode: Jiyan’s Anti-interruption has been enhanced; her Basic Attack, Heavy Attack, and Dodge Counter have been replaced with the Heavy Attack Lance of Qingloong.

Qingloong’s Lance – Powerful Assault: Execute a series of up to 3 consecutive strikes, dealing Aero DMG as Heavy Attacks.

When using the Resonance Skill Windqueller, Jiyan will consume 30 ‘Resolve’ if he has at least 30 ‘Resolve’ in order to increase the skill’s damage by 20%. However, when Jiyan is in Qingloong Mode, the damage of Windqueller will automatically increase by 20% without consuming any ‘Resolve.’

Resonance Liberation: Emerald Storm-Finale: If Jiyan has 30 or more ‘Resolve’ when casting Resonance Liberation Emerald Storm: Prelude, he will expend all 30 ‘Resolve’ to unleash Emerald Storm: Finale, causing Aero DMG that is equivalent to a Heavy Attack. This ability can also be used while airborne at low altitudes.

Resolve: Jiyan’s maximum Resolve capacity is 60. Each successful hit of his Normal Attack Lone Lance or Intro Skill Tactical Strike will grant him additional ‘Resolve’. If Jiyan fails to hit a target within a certain timeframe, his ‘Resolve’ will slowly diminish.

Benefits of Passive Skills

Heavenly Balance: Jiyan’s ATK will be boosted by 10% for 15 seconds after using the Intro Skill Tactical Strike.

Tempest Taming: Whenever Jiyan successfully lands an attack on a target, her Crit. DMG is boosted by 12% for a duration of 8 seconds.

Jiyan Resonance Chain in Wuthering Waves

The Resonance Chains of Jiyan during the Closed Beta Test are as follows:

At Level 1 of the Benevolence skill, the Resonance Skill Windqueller can be used an additional time. Furthermore, the ‘Resolve’ cost for casting this skill is reduced by 15 when using it.

Level 2- Versatility: When Jiyan casts Intro Skill Tactical Strike, he immediately gains 30 ‘Resolve’ and his ATK is boosted by 28% for 15 seconds. This effect can only be activated once every 15 seconds.

Level 3- Enhancement: When using Resonance Skill Windqueller, Resonance Liberation Emerald Storm: Prelude, Resonance Skill Emerald Storm: Finale, or Intro Skill Tactical Strike, Jiyan’s Critical Rate is boosted by 16% and Critical Damage is raised by 32% for a duration of 8 seconds.

Level 4- Prudence: While using Resonance Liberation Emerald Storm: Prelude or Resonance Liberation Emerald Storm: Finale, all team members gain a 25.00% increase in Heavy Attack DMG Bonus for a duration of 30 seconds.

Level 5- Enhancement: The DMG multiplier of Outro Skill Discipline is raised by 120.00%. Whenever Jiyan’s attacks connect with a target, his ATK is raised by 3.00% for a duration of 8 seconds, with a maximum stack of 15 times. This effect reaches its maximum potential as soon as he activates his Intro Skill Tactical Strike.

Fortitude Level 6: Whenever Jiyan uses Heavy Attack, Intro Skill Tactical Strike, or Resonance Skill Windqueller, he gains 1 stack of ‘Momentum.’ This can stack up to 2 times. When using Resonance Liberation Emerald Storm: Finale, all ‘Momentum’ stacks will be consumed and each stack consumed will increase the DMG multiplier by 120%.
