On October 7, Jiyeon participated in the “T-ara 15th Anniversary Fanmeeting,” which commenced at 5 PM local time in Macau’s Broadway Theater.

The gathering celebrated T-ara’s 15th anniversary since debut, allowing the members to engage with fans through various activities including discussions, games, and live performances.

This event received considerable attention as it was Jiyeon’s first public appearance following her divorce announcement. The group kicked off the event with their renowned track “Roly-Poly.” Jiyeon, showcasing her long waves and a graceful look, performed alongside fellow members Hyomin, Eunjung, and Qri.

Rumors regarding Jiyeon and Hwang Jae Gyun’s divorce have been circulating since June, and on October 5, they confirmed the separation. Jiyeon’s representative stated, “The couple could not reconcile their differences and, following a period apart, have decided to divorce. A mediation request has been filed with the Seoul Family Court to finalize the process.”

In her statement, Jiyeon said, “I’m sorry to bring this unfortunate news to everyone. We have decided to engage in divorce mediation amicably. I appreciate your understanding regarding the delays in resolving this matter. I will strive to return with a more positive image in the future.”

Hwang Jae Gyun’s camp commented, “Although our marriage has ended, we will continue to support each other in the future. We apologize to our fans for any disappointment this may have caused.”

The speculation about their divorce originally began in June when baseball commentator Lee Kwang Gil mentioned during a radio program, “Did you hear that Hwang Jae Gyun is divorced?” Although he later clarified it was a mix-up and Jiyeon’s team denied the allegations, the rumors gained traction again when Jiyeon was spotted without her wedding ring and Hwang Jae Gyun was seen socializing late at night with friends.
