Despite the ongoing rumors surrounding her divorce from her husband, Hwang Jae-kyun, Jiyeon had been relatively inactive, causing great concern among her fans. However, a recent photo she shared, depicting her getting ready for a shoot, suggests that she will soon be returning to her usual activities.

In June, rumors of divorce between Jiyeon and her husband, baseball player Hwang Jae-kyun, began to circulate. During a broadcast by KNN, a regional sports channel in Busan and Gyeongnam, a conversation took place about Hwang Jae-kyun’s marital status. Although this conversation was not intended to be aired, it was leaked on the YouTube channel “Visible Radio,”causing the rumors to quickly spread through online communities. The broadcasting team later issued an apology, clarifying that there had been a misunderstanding.
Jiyeon’s previous agency also clarified, “We have confirmed with her that the divorce rumors are not accurate.”However, many noticed that Jiyeon was not wearing her wedding ring, leading to even more speculation about a potential divorce.
Before these rumors surfaced, Jiyeon had already been facing criticism and backlash because of Hwang Jae-kyun’s bench-clearing incident. As a consequence, she made the decision to temporarily halt her online channel ‘Jiyeon JIYEON.’
