JJ Watt backs Harry Kane over sensational NFL career change

JJ Watt has expressed his belief that former Tottenham striker Harry Kane has the potential to transition from the world of football to become a successful kicker in the NFL.

Despite his prolific scoring in the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich after leaving Spurs, Kane has openly expressed his passion for NFL.

It is a dream of many fans to one day play in the NFL, and Watt firmly believes that Kane’s exceptional scoring prowess would make him one of the select few capable of succeeding in the sport.

“According to his statement to The Overlap, he believes that Harry Kane has the potential to become a successful NFL kicker with the right amount of dedicated training.”

“Given his lifelong experience with kicking balls, I believe that with the guidance of a professional kicking trainer, his skillset will undoubtedly excel. I do not want to minimize the challenging nature of the kicker’s role, but I do believe that someone like Harry, who has honed his skills to the highest level and received proper training, is truly talented in this area.”

During Manchester City’s pre-season tour in America, I had the opportunity to compete in a field goal challenge with Sergio Aguero. His performance was exceptional, as he effortlessly made 65-yard field goals. The only variation was that he utilized a long run-up, whereas in the NFL, there is only 1.2 seconds to snap the ball and take a two-step run-up. Despite this difference, Aguero still managed to powerfully kick the ball through the upright.

Based on his track record, it is undeniable that Justin Tucker is the greatest kicker in NFL history. While I am not suggesting that Harry Kane could reach that level, I do believe that with three years of dedicated and consistent training, he could potentially earn a spot on one of the 32 NFL rosters. This is due to his lifelong experience and skill in the sport.

The topic begins at the 54-minute mark.

This week, Kane made his way back to north London and scored a goal at the Emirates Stadium during Arsenal’s 2-2 draw with Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Despite being 30 years old, the player continued his streak of scoring against the Gunners by converting a penalty to put Bayern ahead 2-1. However, Mikel Arteta’s team managed to equalize in the second half thanks to a goal from Leandro Trossard.

Despite the intense match, there was some controversy as both Bayern and Arsenal had penalty claims denied.

Despite both sets of fans making vociferous appeals, former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher still maintained that “common sense”ultimately prevailed.
