The Blu-ray version of season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen brought changes eagerly awaited by fans, the latter being more than delighted by the new scenes added to this Dantesque fight.
Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the most popular animes of 2023, evidenced by the impressive number of awards won at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2024. The adaptation of Gege Akutami’s manga is now one of the most popular animes by fans, thus competing with other very popular shonens such as Demon Slayer or One Piece.
But if the anime produced by MAPPA was clearly unanimous among fans of the manga, that did not prevent the most fervent among them from highlighting certain flaws, and in particular a sequence discovered in the last season which deserves to be reworked according to them.
And it seems that their grievances have been heard, since the franchise has just released the Blu-ray version of the Shibuya Drama arc, with fans being stunned by the additions made to a particular fight, which occurred in what is probably the most controversial episode of the season.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Volume 4 on Blu-ray has just been released in Japan, and fans are already impressed by the incredible changes in the best fight of the Shibuya Drama arc, between Ryomen Sukuna, aka the King of Scourges, and Makora, the Unholy Celestial General. Changes which not only offer a more accomplished version of the fight, but also and above all additional scenes which allow us to better appreciate the confrontation between these two super-powerful characters.
Additions of which fans can already have glimpses, thanks to the publications of certain Internet users shared on social networks.

As a reminder, it was in episode 17 of season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen that we were able to witness this fight between the two. An episode which had attracted a lot of attention following the appearance of various rumors according to which the episode in question was in reality unfinished, being the direct result of the almost impossible production deadlines which were imposed on the animators at MAPPA.
This then made it possible to lift the veil on the poor working conditions faced by the teams at the Japanese animation studio. Conditions also highlighted by Vincent Chansard, a French animator very renowned in the industry, who recently looked back on his time at MAPPA.
In any case one thing is certain, it is that the fans are more than delighted to finally be able to discover the final version of the fight between Sukuna and Makora, as evidenced by the various comments that can be found on this subject on Twitter).
