Jo Jung-seok Discusses New Cross-dressing Role and Taking Selfies

The channel “TEO”released the latest episode of their YouTube show “Salon Drip 2″on July 23rd, featuring guests Jo Jung-seok and Shin Seung-ho.

During this episode, Jo Jung-seok disclosed that he would be portraying a female character in his upcoming film, “Pilot.”The movie follows the story of Han Jung-woo (played by Jo Jung-seok) who cross-dresses in order to secure a job. Host Jang Do-yeon expressed astonishment at his feminine appearance, commenting on the impressive makeup in the movie’s poster.

Jo Jung-seok shared, “The dressing team and the costume team put in a lot of effort and dedication into our work together. It was important for me to fully understand my character’s transformation, so we tried various techniques such as using double eyelid tape. Although it looked strange when applied, we were able to remove it afterwards. We had many meetings and tried different methods in order to achieve the desired result.” Shin Seung-ho added, “I was always filled with excitement whenever I arrived on set, eager to see what kind of makeup Jo would have on for her character that day.”

Jo recalled, “There was this one day when I filmed with my hair getting wet. I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and I must say, I looked stunning. I must have taken countless selfies that day. I was definitely feeling beautiful at that time.” Additionally, Jo shared, “I showed my wife the selfies I took on set and she agreed that they turned out great. I even thanked her for always seeing me as pretty.”

Jo admitted that he frequently uses video calls to keep in touch with his family, but there was one instance where he couldn’t make a call with his daughter. This was because he was concerned about her reaction after he had dressed up as a woman. Usually, he would make video calls with her to express how much he missed her, but he only did so when he was in his regular appearance. During the filming of the drama “Captivating The King,”his daughter caught a glimpse of him in costume and asked who he was.
