The much-anticipated One Piece Live Action Season 2 has recently announced its cast for two pivotal characters: Crocodile and Nico Robin, who will be featured in the adaptation of the Alabasta arc.

The reaction from the fandom has been mixed regarding the casting of these essential characters. However, Joe Manganiello, the actor portraying Crocodile, has fully embraced his character by transforming his social media presence to reflect a scene where Luffy is impaled by Crocodile.

The One Piece Live Action series premiered on August 31, 2023, quickly breaking the trend of poor anime adaptations and earning acclaim from a large portion of the fanbase. Season 1 concluded with the Arlong Park arc, setting the stage for Smoker to pursue the Straw Hat Crew in future episodes.

Following the success of Season 1, One Piece Live Action Season 2 was confirmed, with speculation indicating it will primarily focus on the Alabasta arc.

Joe Manganiello recently updated his Twitter banner to depict the intense moment of Crocodile impaling Luffy during their encounter in Alabasta. His profile bio mimics Crocodile’s memorable phrase, “Hisashiburi Dana… Mugiwara,”demonstrating his deep commitment to embodying one of the most enigmatic villains in One Piece.

Previously, Joe Manganiello appeared in the Sam Raimi Spider-Man films as Flash Thompson and was set to portray Deathstroke in the DCEU before its reboot.

While the exact release date for One Piece Live Action Season 2 remains undisclosed, it is anticipated to debut in 2025, introducing characters such as Chopper, Vivi, Robin, and Crocodile.

The Alabasta arc is particularly captivating in the One Piece narrative, closely linked to the mysterious World Leader, Imu. There is speculation that Eiichiro Oda might drop clues about Imu’s identity in the upcoming season. Meanwhile, the One Piece manga is currently unfolding the Elbaf arc, expected to deliver significant lore revelations within the series.
