John Cena revealed his plans for the future of his WWE career after WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia, PA, on Monday.
Despite only being a part-time WWE superstar since 2018, Cena shocked fans as he made a surprise appearance in the main event on Sunday, interrupting the match between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns for the Undisputed Universal championship.
Despite his reduced visibility and viral bald spot, the 46-year-old, who has also found success as an actor, declared on Monday’s episode of “The Pat McAfee Show”that he has no plans of retiring from wrestling.
“Although I gave fans a glimpse of how long I plan to stick around, last night was not my final farewell. This also means that my retirement and departure from my current attire have been a topic of speculation, but it did not happen last night and I still have some time left in the wrestling world.”

Cena made it clear that he has set a limit for himself at age 50, indicating that he only has a maximum of three more years left in his wrestling career.
The previous star of the WWE showed no signs of slowing down as he burst onto the stage and effortlessly lifted the 249-pound Solo Sikoa for an Attitude Adjustment, sending the crowd at Lincoln Financial Field into a frenzy.
Cena’s physical appearance suggests that he is still capable of performing at a top level for the brand. However, his announcement indicates that the WWE community can expect to see him in action until 2024, but possibly only until the summer.
Cena is scheduled to film the second season of DC’s “Peacemaker”from June to November, but he is expected to also make several highly anticipated appearances in the wrestling ring before then.
