Johnny Somali speaks out against Kick’s ban and plans to work with Twitch

Johnny Somali, a streamer, is asking to be released from his ban on Twitch and has offered to assist the Amazon-owned platform in taking down Kick, following his ban.

Johnny Somali has been streaming on both Twitch and Kick and Rumble since being permanently banned from Twitch, focusing on IRL content.

That being said, it’s accurate to state that his escapades have often resulted in troublesome situations, particularly in Japan. He has faced backlash from locals for his behavior, including accusations of harassment and racism. Furthermore, he was detained and deported for live streaming in a restaurant without permission.

In Israel, the streamer was arrested for harassing a female police officer and later arrested again for posting pictures of Adin Ross, Harvey Weinstein, and Jeffrey Epstein on the Western Wall, a sacred location. As a consequence, the streamer was banned from Jerusalem for 50 days.

After the incident, Somali was suspended from Kick and is currently urging Twitch to reinstate him. In a Twitter post (https://x.com/RabbiSomali/status/1779465915500798147), he pleaded, “Twitch, please unban me. I have changed for the better.”

“At the age of 22, I made a mistake under the influence of alcohol, which was 1 year ago. However, I have since matured and grown from that experience.”

Additionally, the streamer offered to assist the platform in “destroying”their competitor. In a message, he stated, “I will aid you in defeating Kick. In this situation, the enemy of my enemy is my ally.”

It remains uncertain whether or not Twitch will remove the permanent suspension. Nonetheless, the streaming site owned by Amazon is investigating the possibility of granting permabanned streamers a “second chance”by allowing them to apply for an unbanning, with certain conditions in place.
