JoJo Siwa Reflects on Having the Most Disliked Music Video by a Female Artist

JoJo Siwa responded to having the highest number of dislikes on a music video by a female artist in 2024 thus far by humorously referencing Taylor Swift.

Despite releasing her single ‘Karma’ in April 2024, the performer has been receiving criticism. The music video for the song became viral on TikTok for its “cringe”choreography, which included what has been deemed as “the worst dance move in history”.

JoJo announced in June that she would be altering her future plans after acknowledging through TikTok that she had taken her fans’ feedback to heart. Despite the upcoming changes, she remains resilient and determined not to let any negativity affect her.

JoJo took to her TikTok account to share her reaction to the news that her music video for “Karma”had broken a record as the most disliked music video by a female artist, surpassing the previous record by 900%.

The list in question was focused on music videos on YouTube, with JoJo announcing the top most-disliked songs. Ariana Grande’s “Yes, And?”ranked fourth on the list, following the controversy surrounding her relationship with her Wicked costar Ethan Slater. The video was noted to have 290,000 dislikes.

Despite her title as the “queen of pop,”Taylor Swift’s song ‘Fortnight’ from her 11th studio album The Tortured Poets Department received 350,000 dislikes, earning her the second place spot on the list. In third place was Katy Perry’s ‘Woman World’ with 330,000 dislikes.

Despite everything, JoJo’s music video for Karma stood out above the rest, with the singer proudly announcing that it had received an impressive 3,150,000 dislikes. She joked, “Looks like I’m the only one who can say I beat Taylor Swift at something. I’ll gladly take the win.”

One viewer commented, “First place is first place,”in support of JoJo’s positive outlook on the situation. Another viewer expressed, “I really admire [JoJo’s] enthusiasm and self-assurance, she’s staying true to herself despite the backlash.”
