The recently released Joker 2 trailer has sparked conversation among DC fans, with one theory in particular about Lady Gaga’s portrayal of Harley Quinn standing out above the rest.
From its inception, Joker 2 (aka Joker: Folie à Deux) has generated a great deal of buzz. With its unique musical element and the casting of Gaga, fans are divided between embracing the concept of the upcoming DC film and having some reservations about it.
However, one aspect where Joker 2 surpasses the original 2019 film is its inclusion of Harley Quinn. Throughout the years, Quinn has gained a strong following, thanks to her portrayal in the self-titled animated series and Margot Robbie’s vibrant and outspoken version of the character. Even those who are not die-hard comic book movie fans have come to appreciate and root for Quinn as a fan favorite.
With the release of the trailer, there has been an abundance of ideas circulating. One popular theory suggests that Harley Quinn may play a significant role in Arthur’s life, potentially being the catalyst for his return to his Joker persona.
“A fan on Reddit speculated that the dynamic between The Joker and Harley Quinn in the upcoming film may be a reversal of their portrayal in the comics. The idea is that Arthur is attempting to resist his Joker persona, but it’s Harley who is pushing him towards embracing it.”
