Despite not providing much additional information about the plot or context, this has satisfied Gaga fans, who have promptly turned to social media to express their enthusiasm.

Upon hearing Gaga’s voice, one fan on TikTok exclaimed, “I’m dying!”and others chimed in, saying, “The audio is like a fever dream, oh my God!”and “Her voice is giving me chills, I love it.”

Another person exclaimed, “The audio is fantastic! I am eagerly anticipating the release of the trailer.”

Many fans on X shared the same sentiment. According to one comment, “She is perfectly cast and will surely excel in this role.”

As is typical for any comic book adaptation, there were naturally some responses that were not entirely impressed. Specifically, there were demands for an explanation as to why Lady Gaga did not use the iconic Harley Quinn voice, complete with a heavy New York accent.

One supporter argued that Gaga’s natural New York accent is a better fit for her character than attempting to imitate an animated voice like Joaquin Phoenix did for the Joker. They also pointed out that the film is set in a realistic world, and not in line with the traditional Harley Quinn character.

The latest topic of discussion regarding the upcoming DC movie stemmed from the announcement that it would be a jukebox musical. This sparked a flurry of humorous remarks on social media, with users proposing unconventional song selections and drawing comparisons to the TV show Glee.

The release date for Joker 2 has been scheduled for October 4, 2024.
