On the 7th, the official account of the Bitnara Foundation introduced the initiative, stating, “The Bitnara Foundation’s ‘Cheongchun Mit Up’ is a psychological counseling project aimed at supporting the healthy artistic endeavors of young cultural artists.”
In the video, Kim Sodam shared, “This is my first formal greeting in front of the camera. I feel like I’ve been hiding and unable to come to the surface, but now I’m finding ways to share my inner stories, and that’s how this journey began.”
She added, “There are stories I wanted to tell but couldn’t, struggles I faced alone. I believe many of you may relate to similar experiences. I hope we can create moments to step out and face these challenges together, rather than feeling trapped in our struggles.”
The late Jonghyun passed away on December 18, 2017, at the age of 27, and he had openly struggled with depression throughout his life.
Following his tragic passing, his mother founded the Bitnara Foundation in the fall of 2018. This foundation, utilizing the royalties left by Jonghyun, provides scholarship programs designed to support young artists facing challenging circumstances without affiliation to any agency.
