HaHa Revives Classic Character on MBC’s “Hangout with Yoo”

On July 5, MBC aired a memorable episode of “Hangout with Yoo”, featuring HaHa returning to his beloved character, “Hybrid Sammy Sosa Rio Leivi, ” for the first time in 13 years. The primary purpose of this nostalgic revival was to assist in decluttering the show’s figure inventory. Standing by his side were fellow entertainers Yoo Jae-suk, Joo Woo-jae, and Lee Yi-kyung, all eager to clear out the longstanding stock.

Agency Ties and Humor Among the Cast

Throughout the broadcast, Yoo Jae-suk and Jung Jae-hyung, both affiliated with Antenna Entertainment, engaged in a lighthearted dialogue about their agency. HaHa humorously commented, “Aren’t you two Antenna family now? People in the industry are saying Jae-suk basically owns Antenna now.” In a playful exchange, Jung Jae-hyung responded with, “He does, ” while adding jokingly, “Antenna used to be underground, but once he joined, we went above ground.” Yoo Jae-suk swiftly corrected him, stating, “No, the agency moved above ground first, then I joined.”

Transition to a New Agency

The focus then shifted to Joo Woo-jae, who disclosed details about his current agency affiliation. When questioned about his representation, he confirmed he is now with CAM. Jung Jae-hyung exclaimed, “CAM? That’s the hottest agency right now!” The banter continued with teases like, “How did you get in there?” and “You’re not even a singer.” Someone also added, “I heard you had to pay a signing fee.”

In an attempt to maintain his composure amid the teasing, Joo Woo-jae clarified, “It’s not like I forced my way in.” However, he faced a pointed question from Jung Jae-hyung: “Weren’t you with YG Entertainment before?”

This led to a surprising revelation from Joo, stating, “YG shut down its actor division.” He took a moment before expressing, “I was kicked out. From YG. Do you think I left on my own? They disbanded the actor division.”

Behind the Scenes of the Entertainment Industry

Joo Woo-jae elaborated, stating, “Before joining CAM, I talked with several companies, ” only to be humorously interrupted by Yoo Jae-suk, who joked, “He’s known for being picky, ” eliciting laughter from the group.

What had started as a light-hearted discussion took a poignant turn with Joo’s candid admission, shedding light on the upheavals within major entertainment agencies and the associated uncertainties that actors often face in their careers. Despite these challenges, it seems that Joo Woo-jae has embarked on an exciting new chapter with CAM, where he is now receiving considerable praise and fresh opportunities.
