Joy Boy PTSD – One Piece fanart sparks trolling towards Imu

The release date for One Piece chapter 1122 has been confirmed for Monday, August 5, 2024. It appears that the World Government will encounter another significant obstacle in this chapter. In the previous installment, Vegapunk successfully conveyed his message, reigniting the excitement of pirates worldwide for the One Piece once again.

It appears that Imu has been greatly affected by this setback, as he is the secret ruler of the world. A fan art piece depicting him in a state of distress has gained significant attention from fans, who find it incredibly amusing.

Warning: This article contains significant spoilers.

Why is Imu often the target of viral One Piece fanart?

A user named @Toadgashi, who is known for their comical One Piece manga-inspired cartoons, has recently shared a humorous artwork satirizing Imu. The piece depicts the enigmatic ruler of the world begging for Joy Boy’s Haki to be stopped and has quickly gained attention and popularity among fans.

According to the leaked spoilers and raw scans for One Piece chapter 1122, the Straw Hats will face multiple attacks. Warcury will target Emeth, Nusjuro will chase after the Thousand Sunny, Ju Peter will aim for the Giant Warrior Pirates’ ship, and Jaygarcia Saturn will rise to his feet once again.

In chapter 1122, while everything is happening, Emeth will reflect on his friendship with Joy Boy and express regret for not making him king. He will also note the striking similarity between Luffy and Joy Boy, and thank Luffy for giving him the opportunity to hear the Drums of Liberation once again. Emeth will then vow to prevent Luffy from meeting the same fate as Joy Boy.

Afterwards, Emeth will undo a knot within his own body, unleashing an incredibly potent Conqueror’s Haki that will revert the Elders back to their human forms and ultimately transport them to Mariejois. The only remaining member on Egghead Island will be Saturn, likely because he was physically present there.

Upon reflecting back, it will be shown that it was Joy Boy’s Haki that had been residing within Emeth. Joy Boy had foreseen a time when the Giant Robot would require assistance or have a strong desire to protect someone.

At the same time, in the Room of Flowers in Mariejois, Imu will be witnessed kneeling and screaming as they acknowledge Joy Boy’s Haki.

When spoilers or the official chapter of a highly popular manga are released, it is expected that social media will be inundated with comments and memes. However, it is the clever and skillfully crafted artwork mocking Imu that has elevated the discussion of the upcoming issue to a more enjoyable level.

Social media users have reacted with approval, with numerous individuals participating in the amusing mockery of Imu. Here are a few tweets from X users.

“That Joyboy PTSD,” wrote a One Piece fan.

“Imu couldn’t handle the sauce s*** had me cryin😭,” another fan speculated.

“Imu is Squidward, while the haki is Jellyfish’s Dancing music,” said a fan making the weirdest comparison.

Indeed, the insults aimed at Imu continue to become increasingly bizarre with every tweet.

“I imagine to him the joy boy’s rhythm must sound like the chad music, playing over and over again,” mused an X-user.

“I no longer think he will be the final villain. This is literally a child,” commented another.

“He should be terrified, man is a spoiled slave owning machild that built like a roach,” was the critique that came from another.

In addition, Shanks is referenced multiple times for his demonstration of Haki during the final events of the Wano arc, where he skillfully captured Ryokugyu from a distance. This was the most captivating display of Haki thus far in the series.

“Damn, shanks needs to get a better internet providing for his wifi haki,” observed a fan.

“Wifi Haki too strong,” remarked another.

Despite Imu’s reputation taking a major hit in chapter 1122, fans are questioning his ability to be the ultimate villain. While it is known that Joy Boy was incredibly strong, it remains unclear how the current generation of pirates would fare against him. Despite the struggles of the Straw Hats, Vegapunks, Bonney, and the Giants against the Elders, Imu still poses a significant threat.
