Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Stage Play Cast Announced: Yuta, Gojo, and More Details Revealed

The much-anticipated stage play adaptation of Jujutsu Kaisen 0 has officially unveiled its new visual, performance dates, and an expanded cast list. This exciting announcement comes as a surprise since the Jujutsu Kaisen manga is concluding its series in the pages of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump.

Yuki Okoshi has been cast in the lead role as Yuta Okkotsu, with Ryosuke Miura portraying Satoru Gojo. Below is everything we know up to this point regarding the forthcoming Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Stage Play.

The Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Stage Play will include a live band and is based on the popular prequel by Gege Akutami. In addition to Yuki Okoshi and Ryosuke Miura, the principal cast features Ayara Takatsuki as Maki Zenin, Kaedema Sadamoto as Inumaki Toge, and Takeshi Terayama as Panda.

Yuta’s childhood friend, Rika Orimoto, will be played by Yune Sakurai. Furthermore, the supporting cast includes Joel Shohei as Miguel, Yuzuka Ide as Miko Yokoba, Miki Yagi as Nanako Kobo, Minami Chisato as Manami Suda, Kai Kitamura as Laru, and Kohei Shiota as Toshihisa Neki.

The production of the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 stage play is directed by Kensaku Kobayashi, with the script written by Kohei Kiyasu.

There will be two significant performances: at Tokyo’s Galaxy Theater from December 13 to 29, 2024, and at Osaka’s Sky Theater MBC on January 18-19, 2025. For fans attending the Tokyo shows, there will be dedicated photo spots inspired by Jujutsu Technical College, and attendees on December 24 will receive character-themed cards as a special gift.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 serves as a prequel to the main events of the Jujutsu Kaisen series. It follows Yuta Okkotsu, a high school student who is possessed by the spirit of his childhood friend, Rika Orimoto. Following Rika’s tragic death, her spirit transforms into a powerful cursed entity that threatens the lives of those around Yuta.

Fearing for everyone’s safety, including his own, Yuta is taken under the wing of Satoru Gojo, a jujutsu sorcerer, who enrolls him at Tokyo Jujutsu High to master control over his abilities.

While at Jujutsu High, Yuta befriends fellow students Maki Zenin, Toge Inumaki, and Panda, who help him grow in strength. Meanwhile, Suguru Geto aims to harness Rika’s power to annihilate non-sorcerers. Yuta must confront Geto and wrestle with his past to safeguard his newfound friends and achieve inner peace. This narrative sets the groundwork for the events in the main series.
