Despite the exciting developments in the previous chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen, the tides have once again shifted in Sukuna’s favor. Chapter 259 is scheduled to be released on May 12th, 2024.
Chapter 258 concluded with Sukuna poised to unleash his Divine Flames, a powerful attack we have witnessed him use against Jogo, who was instantly obliterated upon impact. It remains uncertain whether Itadori will be able to defend against such a formidable force.
Itadori’s Current Predicament in Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 259
Despite Sukuna’s formidable power, Itadori maintained the advantage in their fight. Through a relentless barrage of Black Flashes, he successfully weakened Sukuna’s soul.
Even though he could not utilize his reversed cursed technique, Sukuna managed to recover his Domain Expansion and unleash Malevolent Shrine. As Itadori prepared to endure Sukuna’s Domain until it subsided, he noticed Sukuna directing his Divine Flame at him.
Itadori’s Training
During their conversation, Itadori, Choso, and Kamo talk about the Blood Manipulation Technique. Itadori expresses interest in learning Convergence from Choso, but Choso is unable to teach it to him. Kamo then explains the mechanics of Blood Manipulation Techniques, but dismisses Choso’s idea of teaching Itadori Super Nova.
According to Kamo, Itadori should acquire knowledge of Blood Manipulation for the purpose of healing. Despite Choso’s disapproval, Kamo maintains that Itadori’s understanding of how to stop bleeding and perform sutures is sufficient. Furthermore, it is disclosed that the individual with whom Itadori exchanged bodies was Okkotsu Yuuta.

Sukuna uses Binding Vows on himself in order to enhance the potency and reach of his Divine Flames, releasing them in the process. Uraume, who had been engaged in a battle with Hakari Kinji, assures that this method will secure their triumph.
Sukuna’s most powerful attack, known as Divine Flames, proved to be devastating as it vanquished Mahoraga and caused the deaths of millions in Shibuya. The scene then shifts to Choso, who is seen sitting in front of Itadori. It appears that Choso had used a blood shield to shield Itadori from Sukuna’s fierce attack, ultimately sacrificing himself in the process.
Choso’s Sad Goodbye
In their imaginary soul world, Choso praises Itadori for learning RCT faster than him. Itadori credits Sukuna for using his body, but Choso reassures him that it’s natural for younger brothers to surpass their older siblings.
As tears fill his eyes, Itadori expresses his distress over Choso’s potential disappearance. Choso, feeling remorseful, wants to apologize to Yuki for sacrificing herself in order for him to remain with Itadori, who would be left all alone if Choso were to perish.
Itadori expresses his gratitude to Choso for standing by him during his most difficult moments. In the real world, as Choso thanks him for being a brother to him, Itadori is overcome with emotion and breaks down in tears. As Choso bids farewell, Itadori thanks him and affectionately refers to him as his older brother.
Is Itadori Alone Yet Again?
Despite standing alone amidst the chaos of the battlefield, Itadori’s hope dwindles as he weakly calls out to anyone who can hear him and sees Sukuna approaching. However, his resolve to fight falters when he realizes he is completely alone in the midst of battle.
Unexpectedly, Aoi Todo, who had been inactive since the Shibuya Incident, sought out Itadori. Todo clarified that through his cursed technique, he rescued Maki and Ino by exchanging them with crows.
Todo’s Role in the Battle
In the scene, Mei Mei and Todo are seen discussing his comeback and involvement in the battle. Together, they strategize a plan to save the individuals trapped within Sukuna’s domain. Utilizing Mei Mei’s crow and Todo’s Boogie Woogie technique, they are able to successfully evacuate those inside to safety.
Todo gives Itadori reassurance that the individuals he rescued are most likely unharmed. Fueled by the belief that his companions are safe, Itadori prepares for battle once more, regaining his determination. Sukuna is currently in a weakened state, making it challenging for him to utilize his Cursed Technique immediately following his domain expansion.
Both brothers once again clasp hands and advance towards Sukuna for their final confrontation. The powerful combination of Aoi Todo’s technique and Yuji is evident in their strong synergy. The chapter concludes with the triumphant declaration, “The brothers united on the path to victory!”
