Jujutsu Kaisen: Beloved character wins popularity poll for first time

The results of the 4th Jujutsu Kaisen popularity poll have been announced, and for the first time, a beloved character has emerged as the winner.

Despite the ongoing battle against the most powerful sorcerer in history, the manga of Jujutsu Kaisen showcases numerous characters who are actively engaged in the fight against the antagonist. Despite their valiant efforts, Sukuna’s strength remains overwhelmingly dominant.

In addition to Yuji being featured on the cover of this week’s issue, Weekly Shonen Jump also released the results of their 4th official popularity poll, in which the cover star narrowly missed out on the top spot.

The fourth poll, which took place in Japan to celebrate the manga’s sixth anniversary, has announced its winner as Satoru Gojo. This marks his first victory, with Yuji coming in second place and Megumi in third.

Yuji, Megumi, and Gojo have consistently topped the popularity polls over the years, always securing a spot in the top three. In addition, newcomer Gojo has been basking in the spotlight for more than a year now as the reigning champion.

In May 2023, he was released in the manga and immediately began the long-awaited battle of the strongest. His passing was a devastating loss for fans and caused a global trend. Therefore, the outcome is not unexpected.
