Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 255 Spoilers Look Back at Gojo’s Death

While the strongest of the S-class exorcists gave up the ghost without anyone really knowing how, many are wondering what really happened during his fight with Sukuna. And it seems that chapter 255 of Jujutsu Kaisen finally returns to the death of Gojo.

The Jujutsu Kaisen manga shocked all fans with the death of the famous Satoru Gojo last year. The character has always been one of the most popular with the public, regularly topping popularity polls.

Unfortunately, chapter 236 of the manga announced terrible news that fans had been fearing for a long time. The battle between Gojo and the terrifying Ryomen Sukuna ended with the defeat of the S-class exorcist. An announcement that was far too sudden for the fans, who didn’t really have time to mourn.

What’s even worse is that Gojo’s disappearance remains shrouded in mystery, in the sense that no one knows the details of his death. And although the manga revealed a few scraps of information on this subject, chapter 255 of Jujutsu Kaisen finally seems to return to how the King of Scourges killed Gojo. According to Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 255 spoilers, Sukuna used an oath to use the improved version of Dissection (titled “Sekai o Tatsu Zangeki” in the original version, which could be translated as “the cut that cuts the world in two”) against Gojo.

In chapter 236, Sukuna explained that instead of directly attacking Gojo, Makora targeted the space around him. This is why Gojo’s Infinity doesn’t work while he’s present in this space where Makora can literally cut everything.

Therefore, Gojo and this space end up being cut in half. In chapter 238, Sukuna uses his Dissection against Hajime Kashimo, and the latter instantly understands that this technique ended Gojo’s life. However, some information regarding Gojo’s defeat is still missing.

But if we trust the spoilers of chapter 255, the narrator explains to us that Sukuna must use a hand sign called “Enmaten” to activate the improved version of Dissection. The same hand sign is used for the Demonic Altar. However, in chapter 235, one of Sukuna’s arms is severed after taking a direct hit from Gojo’s Imaginary Equation, Violet. Therefore, the King of Scourges uses an oath to use the technique without hand signs.

At that time, Sukuna had not yet transformed into his original form. So, after incarnating into his true form, he can use both the hand sign and incantation to activate the enhanced version of Dissection. Additionally, he must also set the direction of his attack with his hands. This is one of the many reasons why Sukuna’s true form is absolutely terrifying.
