The theory about Sukuna consuming his twin, who was eventually reincarnated as Jin Itadori, is confirmed in Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 257.

One of the earliest theories about Sukuna dates back to ancient Japanese folklore, which Gege Akutami used as inspiration. In fact, Ryomen Sukuna was documented in a historical book called Nihon Shoki, also known as The Chronicles of Japan.

Despite being portrayed as a natural disaster, the book depicts him as leaving behind heaps of dead bodies. Despite this, he was revered as a local savior and even worshipped as a god. However, his defiance towards the oppressive government led to his expulsion from the Imperial Court.
