In chapter 259 of Jujutsu Kaisen, Yuji, Choso, and Noritoshi Kamo are seen discussing the application of Convergence. As Yuji is currently body-switching with Atsuya Kusakabe and Yuta Okkotsu, he needs to train in Blood Manipulation the hard way. This leads to a discussion, but Choso is unable to give a satisfactory explanation to Yuji. To help him understand the basics of Blood Manipulation, Kamo provides a useful analogy.

Next, he uses this to illustrate the usage of Convergence, comparing it to squeezing a sponge or a piece of paper between one’s hands. Choso, clearly envious, urges Yuji to inquire about Supernova. However, Kamo rebuts that Blood Manipulation is not necessary for Yuji to be a formidable weapon, as he only needs to master the fundamentals for the time being.

In chapter 259 of Jujutsu Kaisen, the story shifts back to the present. The narrator clarifies that Sukuna is only able to open the “Furnace doors”after carefully preparing his ingredients, known as Cleave and Dismantle. This is because a Binding Vow was put in place to prevent Furnace from being used on multiple targets, which ultimately allowed Sukuna to turn all those within the Malevolent Shrine to dust. Additionally, the Binding Vow ensured that the dust particles were infused with powerful Cursed Energy, similar to the energy used for Furnace.

It is then highlighted that although the Furnace possesses immense power, it lacks speed and range. It is further clarified that a second Binding Vow was made to address this issue, and the functionality of the Domain was modified to restrict entry to only living beings. This adjustment maintains the Malevolent Shrine’s output while also ensuring it is completely sealed. Uraume then declares to Hakari that this is their triumph as Yuji watches Sukuna unleash the Furnace’s attack.

In chapter 259 of Jujutsu Kaisen, the narrator reveals that the combination of thermobaric explosives and particle matter resulted in a powerful explosion that affected every part of the Domain. The intense heat and shockwaves caused by the blast led to the destruction of all life within the Domain. This was Sukuna’s ultimate move, and it was the reason why Mahoraga in Shibuya was instantly obliterated.

During the battle with Satoru Gojo, it was revealed that the Furnace remained sealed because he lacked the freedom to unseal it. This was because he constantly had to adjust the conditions for his Barrier Techniques and make repeated use of Binding Vows. The focus then turned to Yuji, as Choso created a blood barrier to shield him from the fire. However, it was evident that this was taking a toll on Choso’s body as it began to disintegrate.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Chapter 259 – Another Brother Takes Action

In Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 259, as Yuji becomes aware of the situation, he tells Choso that he cannot continue with their plan. Choso apologizes for not being helpful during their training, explaining that his impulsive nature may be to blame. Yuji agrees and they find themselves transported to the “brother world”they first encountered during the Shibuya Incident arc. Choso praises Yuji for mastering Reverse Cursed Technique so quickly, but Yuji humbly redirects the credit to Sukuna’s influence.

Choso encourages Yuji to not be humble and reminds him that younger siblings are meant to excel beyond their elders. Yuji responds by reminding Choso that he still needs to apologize to Yuki. He then expresses his remorse for leaving Yuji alone once again, but Yuji reassures him by saying he was there for him when he needed someone the most, which is more than enough for him. Choso is taken aback by Yuji’s words as he hears his other brothers calling out to him.

As Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 259 continues, the scene shifts back to the present. Choso’s body and shield disintegrate as he expresses his gratitude to Yuji for being like a little brother to him. In response, Yuji thanks Choso and addresses him as his big brother for the first time, emerging onto the battlefield. Still in shock, Yuji looks around and wonders if anyone else has survived. Suddenly, Sukuna appears from the smoke surrounding him.

The storyteller goes on to clarify that Yuji had always vowed to fulfill his duty as a cog in the machine whenever necessary. Despite this determination to repay Choso for saving his life, his conviction was tested upon witnessing the surroundings. In a surprising turn of events, he challenged Sukuna once more. However, his attention was soon diverted to the unexpected arrival of Aoi Todo, sporting a peculiar bandage over his missing left hand.

In chapter 259 of Jujutsu Kaisen, a flashback begins where Mei Mei and Todo devise a plan to use their Cursed Techniques to safely evacuate those trapped within Sukuna’s Domain. Todo acknowledges that there is no guarantee of survival, but believes it is worth attempting. Mei Mei reminds him that he will need to extend the effective range of Boogie Woogie and manage over four targets at once, questioning if he and his “arm”are up for the task.

Todo admits that he is uncertain, yet he cannot deny the strong beat of Boogie Woogie pulsing through him. He also reveals that at this point, he has already applied his unusual bandage on his arm, stating that they must keep their plan a secret from Yuji because of his strong connection to Sukuna. Despite being in separate bodies, Todo firmly believes that their connection could potentially lead to Yuji inadvertently exposing their plans to Sukuna.

In chapter 259 of Jujutsu Kaisen, Todo reveals to Yuji that they will follow Yuta’s plan, but only informs him moments before. Todo emphasizes the importance of keeping this information from Yuji, and Mei Mei agrees. The narrator clarifies that there wasn’t sufficient time to fully explain the details to Yuji, such as the time spent perfecting his Cursed Technique with Yuta and the reason why Yuji and Choso could not switch places.

Similarly, in the current moment, Todo humbly apologizes to his “brother”and assures Yuji that the rest of their group is likely unharmed. These words deeply resonate with Yuji, rekindling his determination as he places his trust in Todo, knowing it is the only option he has at the moment. Together, they charge towards Sukuna, with Todo removing his bandages as they approach the cursed entity. The chapter concludes with the narrator confirming the immense struggle Sukuna is facing in utilizing his Cursed Technique at this time.
