In Chapter 259 of Jujutsu Kaisen, Choso sacrifices his life to shield Yuji from Sukuna’s Divine Flame. Just as Yuji’s determination to keep fighting was faltering, his close friend and “brother,”Todo, arrives, mirroring the situation when Nobara was gravely wounded by Mahito.
Although the official release date for JJK Chapter 260 is on May 19, 2024, the spoilers have already been revealed. It appears that Todo is making his comeback stronger than ever before. How exactly did this happen? Let’s delve into that topic.
Boogie Woogie
Once again, Aoi Todo demonstrates his role as Yuji’s older brother in Chapter 260 by successfully reviving his innate technique, Boogie Woogie. He replaces his left arm with a percussion instrument known as Vibraslap and changes the activation of Boogie Woogie from clapping to using the vibration of the steel rod and wooden piece of the Vibraslap.
Additionally, this updated version of the technique boasts even more power. Todo is now able to perform 50 switches in just one second, equating to one switch every 1.2 milliseconds. With this increased speed, Todo and Yuji are able to catch Sukuna off guard and attack him simultaneously.
Boogie Woogie Version 2.0
Todo has successfully expanded the effective range of Boogie Woogie by limiting the number of switches against the amount of vibrations of the Vibraslap through a binding vow. This has allowed Todo to have multiple targets and achieve their goal.
Okkotsu was the one who aided Todo in adapting to the unfamiliar activation and techniques of Boogie Woogie. As previously arranged, he efficiently guided his fellow sorcerers out of the domain and to a safe distance from the explosion.
Sukuna and Everyone’s Dilemma
At the same time, Sukuna believes that this is the worst possible scenario for him. Todo’s self-centered nature makes it difficult to persuade him. Sukuna finds himself facing Todo at a highly inconvenient time, with the latter’s enhanced Boogie Woogie. Despite this, the King of Curses continues to battle, attempting to counter Todo’s techniques and evade Yuji’s deadly attacks.
Todo attempts to kick Sukuna, but he easily avoids it while in mid-air. As they continue to fight, Sukuna analyzes the Boogie Woogie technique and believes it to be impossible to counter if Todo has control over the number of switches. However, Sukuna is able to find a weakness and anticipates Todo’s feint. He prepares to strike with a powerful punch, but Todo, being his clever self, switches positions with Mei Mei’s crows. Sukuna realizes that he has once again been outsmarted by Todo. Smirking, Todo reveals that his move was actually a triple threat trick, consisting of three hidden tricks in one. It is a skill that only Todo is capable of executing.
Is Satoru Gojo back?
Despite Sukuna’s cursed energy being depleted to the level of Yuta Okkotsu, Yuji manages to land a powerful black flash and continues to weaken him. In a surprising turn of events, Sukuna is able to restore his previously exhausted technique and activates his Domain Expansion. In that moment, his eyes catch sight of the silhouette of the strongest person he had ever killed with his own hands, Satoru Gojo.
The Aftermath of Gojo’s Return in JJK
Despite causing trouble for Gojo with his overwhelming power, Gege has also received numerous death threats for killing Satoru Gojo, a beloved figure. Just when it seemed that Gojo would never be revived, Gege ultimately brought him back. As a result, the underwhelming final showdown between Gojo and Sukuna will now have the chance to be reenacted.
Despite the uncertainty, it will be fascinating to witness the outcome, as even the slightest mistake could result in defeat for either Sukuna or Gojo. Sukuna, having already used most of his tactics, may be at a disadvantage compared to Gojo, who was able to rest and carefully observe and assess all the battles that occurred after his temporary demise.
However, we must wait for the next chapter, which comes after Chapter 260, in order to achieve that.
