After escaping the Prison Realm, Gojo discovers the aftermath of the post-Shibuya chaos caused by the higher-ups and takes action by eliminating them. Although there were speculations about the culprit being either Kenjaku or someone else, Chapter 261 confirms that Gojo was responsible for the death of the higher-ups.
