Fans of Jujutsu Kaisen are voicing their dissatisfaction with the ongoing storyline and are urging for a hiatus for Gojo. At present, Yuta has taken possession of Gojo’s body and is on the verge of a showdown with Sukuna. The previous chapter ended with both characters unleashing their domains, and the upcoming chapter 262 will continue from that point.
Despite its scheduled release on June 10, 2024, spoilers have already been revealed for Chapter 262, teasing a surprising plot twist towards the conclusion.
Gojo (Yuta) vs Sukuna 2.0
The chapter begins with Sukuna and Yuta activating their domains. Yuta effortlessly shrinks the barrier of the Unlimited Void to the size of a small basketball, mirroring Gojo’s previous feat. The narrator clarifies that Gojo’s strategy for Sukuna’s exposed barrier domain is to construct a compact barrier that can withstand the Malevolent Shrine for approximately 3 minutes.
Yuta takes into account Sukuna’s exhaustion and is confident that he can withstand his domain for three minutes, similar to Gojo-sensei. The narrator also points out that Sukuna has restricted the reach of his Cursed Technique to only encompass Yuta’s barrier and eliminated the 99-second time constraint of the Malevolent Shrine.
In addition, prior to the fight, Yuta and Gojo swapped souls in order for Yuta to improve his barrier techniques through training.
Sukuna slyly narrows the range of his domain to specifically target Yuta’s barrier, increasing its strength and eliminating the usual time restriction. This time, there is no time limit. Sukuna’s goal is to defeat Yuta before expanding the range to eliminate any other nearby opponents.
Yuta was caught off guard by this outcome, as he had expected to finish the fight in five minutes. He now has no idea what will transpire after five minutes, leaving him uncertain about the current state of affairs.
His Legs Overpowers Millions
Despite Yuta’s attempt to drag Sukuna with Blue, Sukuna quickly closes the distance and entangles Yuta with his amputated arms, delivering a powerful punch to his face. Yuta is impressed by Sukuna’s execution of the attack and comes to the realization that Sukuna used Domain Amplification in conjunction with Domain Expansion to overcome Infinity and land a strike on Yuta.
Sukuna’s evil grin reveals his belief that the sorcerers are unable to communicate about the events inside the domain through Mei Mei’s crows. The chapter ends with Rika, Yuta’s cursed spirit, holding his lifeless body. As Yuta’s time limit for controlling Gojo’s body approaches, the fate of both characters remains uncertain.
Despite being one of the shortest chapters in the series at only seven pages, fans were disappointed to learn that Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 262 would be followed by a two-week hiatus. This was due to Gege’s sudden illness, causing concern for the manga’s future releases.
