The reunion is already filled with emotion, as Megumi describes the dream world he had envisioned for Tsumiki. After hearing Megumi’s words, Yuji is struck with the realization of the heart-wrenching decision he made by allowing Tsumiki to die. As a result, Yuji is unable to bring himself to request that Megumi continue living.
