Despite the conclusion of the clash against Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 268, it seems that not everyone will have a happy ending. The chapter hints at a grim destiny for Yuta.
Despite being one of the most powerful characters in Jujutsu Kaisen, Yuta Okkotsu is currently facing a difficult situation. In addition to being prone to getting hurt, he also suffers the most damage out of all the characters (except for death, of course). After being defeated by Sukuna during the Shinjuku Showdown Arc, he made a drastic decision.
By mimicking Kenjaku’s cursed technique, Yuta successfully transferred his consciousness into Gojo’s lifeless body. This granted him the ability to utilize the Six Eyes and Limitless, but at the cost of losing his humanity. As a result, he would spend the remainder of his life inhabiting the corpse of another.
Although the situation was already grim, it had the potential to worsen. In the final moments of Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 268, Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara make their way to “assist”Yuta after Sukuna’s downfall. Upon their arrival, they are met with a large gathering of sorcerers, among them being Yuta’s fellow classmates Kusakabe, Miwa, and Momo.

All of them appear solemn and gloomy; one even raises their voice at Yuta, who is absent from the chapter. Based on their facial expressions, it seems to be a somber matter, particularly because the details of Yuta’s transformation are still unclear.
Despite this scene causing concern among fans for their beloved character, they remain optimistic for Yuta’s future. In fact, one fan took to Twitter and shared, “YUTA NATION WE MUST NOT GIVE UP!”, showing their unwavering support.
“Someone else expressed their concern, stating “If Yuta dies, I will go insane.”Another person joined in, questioning why Yuta was not shown with the rest of the group in the last page.”
One supporter shared on social media, “If Yuta is the only one who cannot heal and continue living a normal life, either because he is trapped in Gojo’s body or he passes away, mark my words, I will make headlines.”
