The Fate of Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 268
The most recent spoilers for chapter 268 reveal that Sukuna has been defeated. Despite a difficult battle, Megumi was able to regain control of his will to live. This enabled him to overcome Sukuna’s control over his body and ultimately defeat the King of Curses, reclaiming his own physical form.
According to spoilers, there is a panel in which Yuji and Megumi have a conversation with Sukuna after his defeat. However, the spoilers do not confirm whether Sukuna is dead or alive. We learn of Sukuna’s defeat from Uraume, but the true status of Sukuna will only be confirmed once the chapter is released.
How did the main characters reunite
After Sukuna’s defeat, Megumi fights back and is able to undo the reincarnation on his body. Following a conversation between Yuji and Sukuna, Megumi wakes up to discover Yuji and Nobara attempting to surprise him in a silly manner. When asked, they explain that it’s a Kugisaki Revival Surprise.
Yuji shares the letters from Gojo Sensei that Shoko had given him, and the trio continues with their lively banter. They were taken aback by the idea of Gojo writing letters, finding it slightly uncharacteristic. Yuji mentions that he did not receive a letter since he had a direct conversation with Gojo Sensei.
After quickly reading the letter, Nobara crumples it up, not wanting to know the whereabouts of her mother that it reveals. Megumi bursts into uncontrollable laughter upon reading the letter’s contents: “Unfortunately, your father is no longer with us- because I am the one who killed him! My apologies!”

After perusing their letters, Nobara declares they should gather with Maki and the rest. Yuji reveals that he needs to express his apologies and gratitude to everyone, leaving Megumi puzzled. He then clarifies Yuta’s situation to Megumi.
Yuji insists on the urgency of saving Yuta’s life and meeting with Maki. The panel depicts Maki, Toge, Panda, Kusakabe, Miwa, and Momo. A voice, likely Maki’s, can be heard screaming Yuta’s name and exclaiming that he is a bastard. Megumi questions if this is what it means to save Yuta.
