The conclusion of Jujutsu Kaisen after over six years filled with unforgettable moments has finally come to an end. However, many fans are left feeling unsatisfied with the build-up leading to this finale. Unresolved plotlines have led to widespread discontent, prompting calls for emotional and narrative reparations. It’s a feeling that resonates with many within the community. Pay for everyone’s therapy, Gege.
The final chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen is surprisingly subdued. If you haven’t been closely following the series, it’s crucial to note that chapter 271 had an extensive lead-up starting from the Culling Games Arc.
What Did Chapter 270 of Jujutsu Kaisen Entail?
In the previous chapter, Yuji and his friends were given a straightforward mission. The trio encountered an ordinary couple in an urban area who had fallen victim to a supernatural disturbance. The lingering spiritual energy from the Culling Game is interfering with the real world, causing everyday people to come across residual curses.
Megumi is the one who reveals the shocking truth, stating, “Just like Ijichi said, the residuals are just a little pesky… The main body of the cursed spirit isn’t possessing anyone, but there are diluted residuals. Plus, the victim is facing minor difficulties.”
I don’t care how much hate this chapter gets. i’m just happy that yuji, megumi and nobara are back together again: ‘) 🫶🏽 #jjk271 I LOVE DISNEY KAISENI LOVE TOKYO REVENGERS KAISEN pic.twitter.com/mqB0UEBo8Z

It’s evident that the Culling Game continues to create trouble long after its conclusion. Kenjaku orchestrated this event long ago, enabling its initiation only after eliminating Mahito. Through the curse’s ability to manipulate souls, countless ordinary people were unwittingly endowed with cursed techniques, transforming them into sorcerers. Many lost their lives during the Culling Game—yet a few managed to survive. In the aftermath, individuals are still affected by the cursed energy released by Kenjaku.
this moved me to my core i can’t even lie sukuna ending went from 5/10 to 9/10 #JJK271 pic.twitter.com/sIwUkJRlax

The last chapter centers on our main trio—Yuji, Nobara, and Megumi—assisting the couple dealing with the curse. However, the essence of the series finale is less about the curse and more about the introspective thoughts of Yuji Itadori and the other characters after their protracted battle against Sukuna, which has spanned over a year in the manga. A significant highlight is that the final chapter provides a fulfilling conclusion for Sukuna (just him, though).
Spoilers of Chapter 271 of Jujutsu Kaisen
Initially, spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 271, titled “The Continuation of a Dream,” pick up right where the previous chapter left off, with Kugisaki Nobara expressing her inability to identify the seal or any impact of a technique on the girl, indicating that the curse was likely cast by a highly skilled individual.
The three Jujutsu Sorcerers deliberate on how and where the technique was engaged. After getting a sneak peek of the next chapter, Nobara suggests they venture to a far-off location to neutralize the technique, an idea that Itadori supports. However, Megumi disagrees, proposing an alternative plan to unveil the individual employing the curse.

The Jujutsu Sorcerers consider and agree on the coordinates of the cursed technique’s radius. The woman is soon able to see her fiancé’s face normally once again as the curse dissipates. Almost instantly, the trio detects the presence of the technique’s caster and rush to the location.
The caster surrendered, revealing himself as an ordinary person (really, Gege?). Following this, Yuji and the sorcerer engage in a conversation culminating in one of the most poignant moments from the leaks of Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 271—a flashback featuring Yuji’s final conversation with Gojo prior to Gojo’s battle with Sukuna.

In this flashback, Gojo shares his personal dreams and aspirations, confidently stating that one day, students like Yuji will evolve to become stronger than he ever was, eventually outgrowing their memories of him.
Yuji scoffs at this notion, expressing his determination never to forget Gojo. Their interaction is emotionally charged when Gojo commends Yuji for surpassing his expectations as a student, which holds significant weight considering how much Yuji has grown during his time learning under Gojo.
#jjk271 welp, if this is real then i suppose that’s the end ig I enjoyed reading leaks every week and laughing at the jokes this braindead ass community made. See you in jjk shippuden. (Ts aint happening) pic.twitter.com/4T98zZ1l7e

The spoilers for the final chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen concluded with everyone smiling and leaving in different directions as they journey into the sunset. Simultaneously, Ryomen Sukuna’s last finger remains in the same location as in the first chapter.
End of a Journey
From the current leaks, it seems that significant unresolved lore-related issues remain, such as the overseas invasion hinted at during the Culling Games, the proliferation of cursed spirits post-Culling Games, and even the aftermath of Sukuna’s defeat. Nonetheless, leaks can be roughly translated, so we cannot fully rely on their accuracy.
people always said this as a joke but i decided today jjk ended here for me #JJK271 pic.twitter.com/LmXQeJekQX

Despite this, the haste and anticlimactic nature of the finale have left many devoted fans feeling disappointed. As the community eagerly awaits the official chapter release, fans continue to lament the potential ending. One undeniable truth remains: the fandom will not forget this conclusion anytime soon.
