One inquiry posed was whether Gojo’s parents are still living and if they retain their positions as high-ranking Jujutsu sorcerers.
Gege explains that although his parents are still alive, they are not very powerful as Jujutsu Sorcerers. However, by giving birth to Gojo Satoru, they have gained a higher status within the Gojo clan. Due to their lack of strength, they were separated from Gojo at a young age and were not able to participate in his training as a Jujutsu Sorcerer.
Every few centuries, a child with Six Eyes is born into the Gojo Clan, but in order to become a powerful sorcerer, the heir must first undergo proper training and education. Due to Gojo’s parents’ lack of talent, the clan decided it was best for someone else to take responsibility for his upbringing in his early years. Fans were devastated upon learning the tragic reality of Gojo’s childhood.
A fan commented on Gege’s post, stating, “Once again, Gege has confirmed that Gojo’s isolation and dehumanization persisted throughout his entire life, for what feels like the 47384839th time.”
“According to another, Gojo’s strong reaction to learning about Geto’s murder of his parents may have been due to the fact that Geto had the opportunity to grow up with his family intact while Gojo was denied that privilege.”
