The concept of Cursed Techniques in Jujutsu Kaisen is both distinctive and captivating. With 262 chapters of the story already released, fans have been enthralled by the inventive application of these techniques. The intense battles are enhanced even more by the use of CTs.
Every character has their own unique Cursed Technique, such as Yuta Okkotsu’s Copy, Todo Aoi’s Boogie Woogie, Mei Mei’s Black Bird Manipulation, and many others. We have witnessed their capabilities in combat, but this raises a fascinating question – Which techniques would be practical for everyday tasks and which ones would not?
Cursed Techniques in Everyday Life
Shoko Ieiri – Reverse Cursed Technique
The Reverse Cursed Technique (RCT) is considered to be one of the most valuable Cursed Techniques in Jujutsu Kaisen. This technique has the ability to convert negative Cursed Energy (CE) into positive energy. It is primarily utilized for healing purposes, as the positive energy produced by the RCT can regenerate blood, bones, flesh, organs, and even entire limbs.
Having a skill like this would greatly reduce the need to seek medical assistance for daily use. Injuries could be swiftly healed and with enough proficiency, one could even heal others. This would be extremely valuable in situations where immediate first aid is necessary.
Megumi Fushiguro and the Ten Shadows Technique
Megumi Fushiguro possesses the Ten Shadows Technique, which has been hailed as Jujutsu Kaisen’s most formidable technique. This ability enables the user to summon 10 shikigami by utilizing their shadow as a medium. Additionally, it grants the user complete control over shadows, enabling them to conceal themselves or store items within them.
Initially, this Cursed Technique would be well-received by individuals who have a fondness for animals. Shikgami such as Divine Dogs, Rabbits, and even Max Elephant would undoubtedly be adored by those who hold animals in high regard.
Furthermore, the practice of storing objects in shadows could be extremely beneficial, especially while traveling, as it removes the need to worry about the logistics of what and how to bring items with you.
3) Gojo Satoru – Ability: Limitless
Gojo Satoru, the beloved character from Jujutsu Kaisen, possesses an invaluable ability known as Limitless. This technique allows the user to have almost complete mastery over space by manipulating CE to the atomic level. While Space Manipulation serves as the foundation, Limitless also includes three other layers: Infinity, Lapse (Blue), Reversal (Red), and Hollow (Purple).
In practical situations, it would be highly beneficial. For example, a simple application would be shielding oneself from unexpected weather conditions, such as rain, without the concern of getting wet. Additionally, it would act as a barrier against unforeseen hazards or threats, preventing any direct contact with the user.
Reggie Star’s Contractual Re-creation
One of the most fascinating characters in Jujutsu Kaisen was Reggie Star, who participated in the Culling Games. His unique ability, known as Contractual Re-creation, was particularly impressive as it allowed him to bring to life the contents of a receipt by burning it with CE. This ability was not just limited to physical objects, but also applied to services. The re-created items could be controlled and would vanish once their purpose was fulfilled.
The potential applications of a technique like this are limitless. Essentially, anything can be produced on demand without any specific limitations. Therefore, it is arguably the most beneficial technique among those listed.
Jujutsu Kaisen’s Cursed Techniques Incompatible with Daily Life
Suguru Geto – Cursed Spirit Manipulation
Despite the impressive capabilities of Suguru Geto’s Cursed Technique, it is unlikely to have practical applications in everyday situations. His ability, known as Cursed Spirit Manipulation, grants him control over cursed spirits. These spirits are captured and absorbed into small black orbs, which Geto ingests orally. However, he can only easily absorb curses that are within two levels of his own grade.
From a practical perspective, this technique holds limited value. While it has demonstrated its strength in combat, it has little use outside of battle. One potential application could be for storing items within Cursed Spirits, but aside from that, it does not have many practical applications in everyday life.
Sky Manipulation by Takako Uro
Takako Uro, a reincarnated sorcerer from Jujutsu Kaisen’s Culling Games, was once a member of the Fujiwara Clan and the captain of the Sun, Moon, and Stars Squad, a group of assassins. Her unique Cursed Technique enables her to manipulate the surrounding atmosphere as if it were a tangible sheet or cloak, giving her control over space similar to a lens and causing distortions.
In combat, levitation can serve as both an offensive and defensive maneuver, as demonstrated during her confrontation with Yuta. However, for everyday purposes, the average individual would likely find this ability of little practical value. At most, it could be an enjoyable means of transportation, but beyond that, it would not be particularly useful.
3) Song: Kirara Hoshi – Love Rendezvous
Kirara Hoshi is a secondary character in Jujutsu Kaisen who assists Kinji Hakari in managing his fight club. Together, they utilize their Cursed Technique, Love Rendezvous, which is represented by five stars inspired by the Southern Cross constellation. This technique allows them to target and label cursed energy in its most fundamental form, giving them the ability to attract or repel marked objects as needed.
It is unlikely to be of much use in real life, aside from its function in the manga. Attracting and repelling objects would not be particularly practical in everyday situations.
Nobara Kugisaki’s Straw Doll Technique
Ultimately, the conclusion of this list belongs to Nobara Kugisaki’s Cursed Technique. Its lethal nature was made clear during the Shibuya Incident, where she forced Mahito onto the defensive. Her technique involves harnessing jujutsu by utilizing tools such as a hammer, nails, and a straw doll. By channeling her cursed energy through these objects, she is able to distribute damage between the doll and her intended target.
Although it has proven to be highly effective in battle, as demonstrated in the early chapters of the manga, its usefulness in everyday life is questionable. What possible reason would someone have to cause harm to another using a straw doll?
