This raises speculation about whether Takaba and Kenjaku have been alive all along and if others are aware of this. Higuruma‘s former associate returns home to encounter a peculiar man with unusually large eyes, leaving it unclear whether he is human or curse. Nevertheless, their familiarity suggests a prior connection, indicating she is not surprised by their meeting.
