Jujutsu Kaisen Fans Critique Demon Slayer Fandom, Praising Sukuna’s Conclusion Over Muzan

Fans of Jujutsu Kaisen and Demon Slayer seem to be embroiled in a rivalry on X (formerly known as Twitter) as Gege Akutami’s manga approaches its conclusion. The way the series wrapped up and determined Sukuna’s fate has sparked reactions from Demon Slayer enthusiasts.

However, Jujutsu Kaisen supporters found the comparisons to Demon Slayer quite insulting, insisting that Sukuna is a superior villain compared to Muzan, which has annoyed the opposing fanbase.

The debate over whether Sukuna is a better antagonist continues, but the heated exchanges between both fanbases have led JJK fans to frequently comment phrases like “don’t ya’ll ever compare.”

While Gege Akutami’s work has garnered immense popularity, the conclusion of the manga has not satisfied everyone. Many argue that Sukuna is not a particularly compelling villain when compared to others in the shonen genre. Nevertheless, he does fulfill his role adequately within the narrative.

Jujutsu Kaisen fans often criticize Muzan as a weak antagonist. While opinions on this vary, it’s clear that Muzan adhered to his principles until the very end, remaining evil without any change. He held steadfast to his ideals, even in his demise. Conversely, JJK fans express frustration about Sukuna being likened to Muzan, maintaining that to them, Muzan represents a poorly constructed antagonist.

Another factor contributing to their displeasure is the difference in character arcs. Many fans believe Sukuna’s death was handled with greater finesse than Muzan’s ending in Koyoharu Gotouge’s narrative.

Fan Reactions to the Rivalry and Character Comparisons

“Fax, finally some who understand these are 2 different stories with 2 different characters. Muzan is perfect for the role he plays and what he is makes this perfect for him. Sukuna’s ending could have been better ngl but I give it a solid 9; it fits the character,”shared one fan.

“Neither character is particularly ‘deep’ but they both have satisfying conclusions,”expressed another fan.

It’s evident that some members of the anime and manga community can enjoy different titles without disparaging others. They argue that the characters are tailored to their respective stories and cannot be fairly compared. Each operates on motivations that are unique.

“Muzan is way better lol,”commented a fan.

“One got turned into a big baby, the other was humbled and changed as a person,”stated another.

“Ah yes, a debate to settle who would sit at the top of the C tier on a villain tier list,”quipped one netizen.

Some online users have acknowledged that both Sukuna and Muzan may not be the best villains. They felt comparing them was unproductive, preferring to focus on more accomplished antagonists from other popular series. However, the debate continues, with opinions divided over who stands as the superior villain. This phenomenon highlights the intensity of discussions within the shonen anime community.
