Jujutsu Kaisen Fans Hope This Season 2 Scene Will Be Improved

Although Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 is the breakout anime of 2023, that doesn’t mean it has no flaws. While we wait for the Blu-ray release, fans have one scene in particular that they hope to see reworked for the physical medium.

Jujutsu Kaisen recently made a splash by sweeping the awards at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards. And if the anime didn’t win a category, it’s probably because it wasn’t nominated there, as it won so many awards.

MAPPA’s continued work on the anime adaptation has been very successful overall, with the studio respecting the visual style of Gege Akutami’s manga well. That said, some scenes aren’t as successful as others.

Sometimes the lighting and general fidelity leave something to be desired. Elements which are therefore lacking, but which can be justified by the very tight production deadlines to which animation studios are subject. However, the latter can take advantage of the release on physical media to rework certain sequences, and there is a Dantesque battle that occurred in the last season which should be improved according to fans.

The passage in question from this second season which seemed sloppy was the fight between Sukuna and Makora, aka the Unholy Celestial General. These are two of the strongest characters in Jujutsu Kaisen, and their battle should have been memorable.

This was the case, but we had to use a bit of imagination due to overly heavy shading that made the episode difficult to decipher at times. This was a recurring problem, since the fight between Toji Fushiguro and Dagon had encountered the same problem.

“I just hope it doesn’t look like a blurry sketch anymore,” says one user on Reddit. MAPPA has already used Blu-ray versions to reshoot certain episodes, such as for the first releases of season 2, but fans prefer not to get carried away.

“I know they’ve confirmed changes, but I’m not expecting anything and any additions will be a pleasant surprise,” adds another user. Realism helps in these situations, since you have no guarantee of what is planned by MAPPA on this matter.

The next Jujutsu Kaisen Blu-ray will be released on March 20, with episodes 39-40. In the meantime, you can discover the new official descriptions of the major characters.
