As famous leakers of important manga have been arrested by the police, Jujutsu Kaisen fans seem worried.
Jujutsu Kaisen has been talked about a lot lately: between the major events that occurred in the last chapters and season 2 of the anime, but also the problems linked to the working conditions of the MAPPA studio, it was not possible to miss this story of exorcists and plagues.
In the final phase, the manga by Gege Akutami is more followed than ever by its readers, and each new chapter has the effect of a bomb in its weekly publication. Between the deaths of characters who have united fans from the beginning of the story, to epic victories, nothing is left to chance, and every detail is closely scrutinized.
It is in this context that the leakers, these professionals of leaking on the Internet, strike: every week, two days before the publication of the chapters, spoilers come out on the Internet. Far from being unanimously disturbing, they are highly sought after by a large proportion of readers.
Even to the point that when two of them were arrested by the police, Internet users began to worry about their favorite leakers on social networks.
The reaction of Jujutsu Kaisen fans after the arrest of manga leakers in Japan
Two foreign nationals suspected of leaking Shonen Jump manga spoilers were recently arrested by Japanese authorities. These two individuals were accused of publishing screenshots of the manga’s pages before its official release. And while the police revealed the seized documents to the press, the fan community discovered a screenshot of Myamura.
Police just released to the press the Shonen Jump and other items seized from the leakers. Taking a closer look, we can see “that watermark”.😭 pic.twitter.com/0stqgz4Xg4

“The police have just revealed to the press the elements of Shonen Jump and others found among the leakers. If we look closer, we can see “this watermark” “
The manga market has never been stronger than in recent years for international publications. Impatience and sometimes refusal to go through official – and paid – sites pushes many readers to prefer pirate platforms, on which leaks of future chapters can be found more quickly. For other fans, these leaks are on the contrary a blight, which spoils the pleasure of the surprises created by the authors, while impacting the manga industry.

Among the accused is Musa Samir, a 36-year-old businessman living in Tokyo. The identity of the other police target is still unknown. After news of their arrest emerged, several reputable leakers on X/Twitter, including OP Scans, instantly deleted their accounts and related posts.
