During the Shinjuku Showdown, Ryomen Sukuna utilized Megumi Fushiguro’s body, resulting in the Jujutsu sorcerers unintentionally targeting Megumi while trying to inflict damage on the King of Curses.

Satoru Gojo’s Unlimited Void technique was the most powerful among the techniques deployed against Sukuna. Throughout their battle, Gojo made several attempts to hit Sukuna with Unlimited Void.

Despite his initial failures, Gojo successfully activated his domain 0.1 seconds before Sukuna could initiate the Malevolent Shrine on his fourth attempt. This meant Gojo managed to strike Sukuna with Unlimited Void.

Interestingly, it was later uncovered that Sukuna effectively used Megumi’s soul to absorb the impact of the Unlimited Voids, facilitating Mahoraga’s adaptation to the domain expansion. Hence, it was Megumi who suffered the severe effects of the Domain Expansions, leading to significant damage.

In the manga, it was revealed that Gojo managed to use his domain for less than 10 seconds. Although this may seem brief, it inflicted enough damage on Sukuna to prevent him from utilizing his own domain, Malevolent Shrine.

Regrettably, because Megumi’s soul absorbed the repeated hits from the domain, he seemed to sustain irreparable damage according to the Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 269 spoilers.

Upon awakening, Megumi rejoined Maki and his upperclassmen and discussed his condition. Contrary to expectations, Megumi wasn’t completely recovered; he was still experiencing lingering effects from Unlimited Void, leaving his head feeling fuzzy.

This outcome was anticipated since Unlimited Void inundates its target with overwhelming information, immobilizing them. Given that Megumi endured this for nearly 10 seconds, his ongoing struggles are not surprising. It remains to be seen if he will recover independently or require assistance from Shoko Ieiri.
