Jujutsu Kaisen: Latest Chapter Reveals the True Jujutsu Sorcerer, and It’s Not Yuji

On July 29, 2024, spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 264 were released. The chapter revealed that Yuji had successfully awakened his cursed technique, and it also highlighted the bravery of another jujutsu sorcerer. Aoi Todou risked his life to save Hana Kurusu from the deadly Black Flash technique of Ryomen Sukuna, jumping in front of her just in time.

The King of Curses rarely acknowledges someone for their skills, but Aoi received praise from him for his intellectual thinking. Aoi had always been a dependable friend, willing to help anyone in need and even sacrificing himself for his closest friend, Itadori. This was evident in the past and continues to be true.

Please note that the following article includes possible spoilers from chapter 264 of Jujutsu Kaisen and reflects the author’s personal viewpoint.

Continuing from the previous chapter, Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 264 saw Hana Kurusu make her appearance on the battlefield and deliver a powerful blow to Sukuna with her cursed technique, Jacob’s Ladder. The King of Curses quickly assessed the situation and came to the realization that her technique would not only affect him, but also Aoi and Yuji, as it was not directed solely at him.

Despite being struck by Jacob’s Ladder, he took a risk and charged towards her. Hana, feeling cautious of Sukuna, attempted to flee. Sukuna made fun of Angel, the cursed spirit inhabiting Hana, and taunted her for being trapped in a feeble vessel that would lead to her ultimate demise.

As the King of Curses prepared to unleash a Black Flash technique targeting Hana Kurusu, Aoi Todou quickly used Boogie Woogie to appear in front of her. However, Aoi ended up taking the hit from Sukuna’s attack instead.

Sukuna’s smirk grew as he praised the cursed sorcerer for his true Jujutsu skills, arriving just in time to rescue one of his allies. Utilizing his Black Flash technique, Sukuna sent both Aoi and Kurusu crashing to the ground before Itadori took over the battle.

Aoi Todou, who is a third-year student at the Kyoto Branch of Jujutsu High, was previously a disciple of special-grade sorcerer Yuji Tsukumo. He was first introduced during the Kyoto Goodwill Event Arc. Recognizing Itadori’s potential for growth, he offered his assistance to help him become an exceptional sorcerer.

During this rare opportunity, Aoi was able to demonstrate her abilities as a genuine Jujutsu sorcerer, someone who assists in the development and maturation of others.

After rescuing Maki and Fushigoro from Hanami, he joined forces with Itadori to fight against an unregistered cursed spirit. However, even though he had taught Itadori the basics beforehand, he refrained from helping him during the battle in order to allow Itadori to gain practical experience on his own.

During the Shibuya arc, he reappeared to assist Itadori once again in his battle against Mahito. Despite losing his hand during the fight, Aoi never lost hope and gave his all to banish the cursed spirit before his friend could be harmed.

When Itadori lost Choso to Ryomen Sukuna during the final battle in Jujutsu Kaisen, Aoi appeared and instead of offering false hope, he encouraged him to continue fighting. Ryomen Sukuna may have praised Aoi and referred to him as a ‘true’ Jujutsu sorcerer due to his genuine concern for his fellow sorcerers.
