Jujutsu Kaisen: Mahito’s Return May Surprise Fans

Despite Mahito’s death in Jujutsu Kaisen’s Shibuya Incident Arc, fans have been speculating about the possible resurrection of the special grade cursed spirit in the series. While many fans believe that Mahito’s return is impossible, the truth is that the cursed spirit is destined to make a comeback, though not in the manner that fans anticipate.

Despite being an unregistered special-grade cursed spirit and an ally of Pseudo-Geto (Kenjaku), Mahito met his unfortunate end during the Shibuya Incident Arc when Kenjaku betrayed him and absorbed him with his Maximum: Uzumaki technique. Despite his death in the series, there is still a possibility for the special-grade cursed spirit to make a return in the future.

Despite Mahito’s permanent death and absence from the series, the cursed spirit will continue to play a role in the future of the series’ universe. Therefore, the answer to this question remains complex.

Mahito’s death can be attributed to Kenjaku’s use of the Maximum: Uzumaki technique. This resulted in the destruction of Mahito’s entity as a trade-off for a formidable attack. As a result, Kenjaku was able to extract Mahito’s Cursed Technique, Idle Transfiguration, effectively eliminating any possibility of Mahito’s return. Therefore, it can be concluded that Mahito has met his demise.

Despite the passing of many years, the cursed spirit, like numerous other disaster curses, will inevitably resurface. In Jujutsu Kaisen, these curses and cursed spirits are a manifestation of humanity’s collective fear towards a specific entity. Mahito, for instance, was born from the fear of one another among people. As long as this fear continues to exist within humanity, the cursed spirit will undoubtedly make a comeback in the world of the series, much like the other disaster curses.

Despite this, the cursed spirit formerly known as Mahito may no longer answer to that name. Furthermore, their physical form, demeanor, and recollections will all be altered. As a result, it is unlikely that Mahito will ever reappear in the world of Jujutsu Kaisen. However, given that a special-grade cursed spirit is born from humanity’s fear of each other, it is inevitable that one will resurface in the series.

Is the new Mahito going to appear in the Jujutsu Kaisen manga?

According to the rules of the manga’s world, a cursed spirit is expected to return to Earth after a specific period of time. However, it is highly unlikely that the new “Mahito”will make a reappearance in the manga. This is due to the fact that when another Disaster Curse, Jogo, met his end in the series, he was certain of his return, but it took several years for it to actually happen.

As seen in the manga, Mahito’s death occurred on October 31, 2018, which coincides with Halloween Day. Since then, only two months have passed in the series. This is evident from the current events taking place in the Shinjuku Showdown Arc on December 24, 2018. With the series in its final arc and only two months having elapsed, it is highly unlikely that a new “Mahito”will appear in the Jujutsu Kaisen manga.
