Jujutsu Kaisen manga announces further delay due to COVID-19 pandemic

The Jujutsu Kaisen manga has been put on hold following the release of Chapter 262, and the most recent update confirms that there will be additional delays.

As the Shinjuku Showdown Arc of Jujutsu Kaisen nears its end, the manga is at a pivotal point with Yuta assuming control of Gojo’s body to once again battle the King of Curses. In Chapter 262, a short clash between Yuta and Sukuna takes place.

Nevertheless, even though the chapter is a mere seven pages and provides limited insight into Yuta’s future, fans can look forward to the release of Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 263 on June 30, 2024, as stated by the official Manga Plus app.

Despite previous reports from leakers stating that the chapter would be delayed due to Gege’s health, more recent updates confirm that it has been pushed back even further. The exact release date remains uncertain at this time.

According to JJK Leaker’s tweet (https://x.com/iduckyx/status/1803633009968509396?s=46), it has been announced in the preview for next week’s issue of Weekly Shonen Jump that Jujutsu Kaisen will be taking a break in issue 31. Although the break was initially planned for two weeks, it has been extended for an additional week. JJK Leaker will provide further updates if there are any developments.

Another person who leaked information also expressed their concern, stating, “I pray that Gege is simply taking additional time to fully recover and that his health is not deteriorating any further. My thoughts are with Gege’s health.”

Fans are expressing concern for Gege’s well-being and sending prayers for a quick recovery. In fact, one fan stated, “If taking an indefinite break means Gege can prioritize his health, then he should do so.”

“Wishing for a speedy recovery, GOAT Gege. Hopefully, his health does not deteriorate further and he can take his time returning,”said another.
