The conclusion of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga is set to take place in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 44, which is also accompanied by an exciting announcement.
Since its debut in 2018, the Jujutsu Kaisen manga has garnered immense popularity and will officially end on September 30, 2024, with Chapter 271. The story follows Yuji Itadori, a high school student leading a normal life, who faces a tragic loss when his grandfather passes away.
In a turn of events, Yuji accidentally interacts with a cursed object from a shrine, revealing the dark world of curses. In a desperate bid to save his friend Megumi, he consumes Sukuna’s finger, a special-grade cursed item, thereby enrolling at Jujutsu Tech High School.
The final arc, titled Shinjuku Showdown, centers around the intense battles against Kenjaku and Sukuna, the series’ two primary antagonists. Through strategic efforts and collaboration among the sorcerers, the villains are ultimately vanquished. With the manga’s finale approaching next week, Shonen Jump has built anticipation for a significant announcement.

A notable Twitter/X account announced, “Jujutsu Kaisen by Akutami Gege will disclose its ‘latest news with a great announcement’ next week in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #44. Additionally, the series will host a Digital Manuscript Applicant Service and include a Postcard Appendix in the issue.”
Fans are divided between hoping for a sequel and managing their expectations, recalling how the My Hero Academia announcement promoted by Shonen Jump turned out to be a global character popularity poll.
“Please let him pull a Chainsaw Man and announce that Part 2 is coming because this does not feel like an ending,” commented one enthusiastic fan.
Another user shared their skepticism: “Bruh, most of the time nothing happens in any work when they say great announcement but I keep automatically getting my hopes up WHYYYYYY.”
A third commented, “I guarantee it’s going to be something super troll-like a worldwide poll so don’t get your hopes up for anything significant; we’ve seen how these things turn out.”
As the Jujutsu Kaisen manga approaches its closure, fans are eager to see who will take the title of MVP in the climactic battle against the villains.
