Jujutsu Kaisen may have already foreshadowed Yuji’s Domain Expansion

As the Jujutsu Kaisen manga approaches its conclusion, fans of the series have started anticipating certain events that have been eagerly awaited since the beginning. One such event is Yuji’s Domain Expansion, which has yet to be revealed.

Some fans have developed theories suggesting that Yuji Itadori may have a Domain Expansion. However, one fan proposed that the series may have already alluded to this through symbolism. Although it cannot be confirmed, there is a prevalent belief that this could be a valid hint for future events.

This article includes spoilers from the Jujutsu Kaisen manga and is solely the author’s interpretation.

The Shibuya Incident Arc in Jujutsu Kaisen may have foreshadowed Yuji Itadori’s Domain Expansion

Possibly, maybe, perhaps this is yujis domain expansion (in terms of how it looks) byu/black_cop_48 inJuJutsuKaisen

After experiencing an Awakening in Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 257, Yuji Itadori caught the attention of u/black_cop_48, a fan of the series on Reddit. This led them to speculate on what Yuji Itadori’s Domain Expansion might entail.

According to their account, the domain could resemble the setting in which Yuji pursued Mahito through the snowy forest. In this scene, Mahito’s terror was portrayed as a race between wolves and rabbits.

Upon seeing Yuji, Mahito was filled with such fear that he likened himself to a rabbit fleeing from a pack of wolves in order to survive. Although this moment may have simply been meant to highlight the vast difference in strength between Yuji and Mahito at the time, it is possible that the author of the manga, Gege Akutami, intentionally included it as a foreshadowing of Yuji Itadori’s eventual Domain Expansion.

Initially, there was no connection between Yuji and a wolf, or between Mahito and a rabbit. Therefore, the symbolism may be questionable. The only wolves depicted in the anime, aside from the one in the scene, were Megumi’s shikigami. However, Itadori did not have a strong association with them or any other wolves to justify being linked to them.

Yuji’s surname, “Itadori,”is made up of the kanji for “tiger”(ita) and “rod, cane”(dori), with no reference to wolves. Similarly, his first name is composed of the kanji for “permanence”and “benevolence, humanity,”suggesting no connection to wolves. However, it is possible that the snow forest scene in the Shibuya Incident Arc foreshadowed Yuji’s Domain Expansion despite the lack of any apparent hints or correlation to wolves.

Despite this, it is important to note that Jujutsu Kaisen fan u/black_cop_48’s theories only pertain to the appearance of the domain and not its functioning. As a result, there are numerous theories that can be formulated. However, it appears that there is a commonly accepted concept among fans regarding Yuji Itadori’s domain expansion.

Fans speculate that Yuji’s domain expansion may have a connection to his renowned physical strength and mastery of Black Flash techniques, which are his most prominent skills.

Additionally, fans speculate that Yuji may develop a domain that capitalizes on his strengths, as Sukuna frequently utilizes Cleave and Dismantle and possesses a domain expansion known as Malevolent Shrine that also utilizes slashing techniques. This has led fans to believe that Yuji’s domain could potentially incorporate his physical prowess.
