Jujutsu Kaisen may still have more story to tell, and Kenjaku’s true Cursed Technique is the key

The news that Jujutsu Kaisen will be concluding within the next five chapters has caused quite a stir among fans. Despite the series’ impressive progress and numerous unanswered questions, creator Gege Akutami’s decision suggests that there may be one final twist in store. Fans are eagerly anticipating the conclusion of the series and speculating about what this twist could be.

Although it has been some time since his name was mentioned, this turn of events may be connected to the elusive Kenjaku. According to recollection, the last sighting of him was when Yuta Okkotsu executed a surprise decapitation. Fans of the series will know that Kenjaku is not one to be easily defeated and has always been cunning enough to have a backup plan.

Keeping this in perspective, a different hypothesis has emerged, proposing that Kenjaku’s Cursed Technique holds the answer to the final part of Jujutsu Kaisen’s plot.

A new theory about Kenjaku’s Cursed Technique in Jujutsu Kaisen suggests that rather than body-hopping, it involves soul-cloning. This concept is compared to similar ideas in other works such as Kara no Kyoukai, Mahoyo, and the Nasuverse. In these stories, the character Aozaki Touko, a magician, achieved a unique type of immortality by mastering the art of puppet making and creating a flawless duplicate of herself.

She was faced with the miracle of creating a being equal to herself and feared being replaceable due to its existence. Therefore, even in death, her flawless puppet would awaken and carry on as Aozaki Touko. As a result, with each passing, a new Touko would arise with the memories of the previous one and live as the new Aozaki Touko.

Similarly, Kenjaku’s Cursed Technique involved the creation of clones of himself rather than undergoing a brain transplant to switch bodies. According to the theory, it is believed that only a specific portion of the brain containing the Cursed Technique was needed for the transfer, rather than the entire brain. This portion would utilize Reverse Cursed Technique (RCT) to fill in any missing elements, allowing the new host to awaken with Kenjaku’s memories and techniques intact.

Additionally, any problems or drawbacks that may arise would be addressed through the use of Binding Vows, potentially with the clone Kenjaku making a vow to refrain from utilizing any Jujutsu or Cursed Energy (CE) and remaining inactive until the original body’s passing, becoming irreparably damaged and discarded, or if a new Kenjaku was required. From this point on, the theory delves into more intriguing possibilities.

It appeared that the events in Hidden Inventory would lead to Tengen’s evolution and the acquisition of Geto’s body, causing Kenjaku to understand The Merger. However, in truth, this was only one of many paths intended to initiate humanity’s advancement. The Merger emerged when Kaori Itadori eliminated the clone, took possession of Geto’s body, and gave rise to a new Kenjaku dedicated to achieving The Merger.

Despite the plan’s failure, the generation led by Gojo Satoru managed to defeat Sukuna and Kenjaku, putting a halt to the Merger. However, Kaori Itadori’s original plan still remained, requiring the assistance of Ryomen Sukuna’s brother. And so, the seed that was planted at the time of Geto’s death finally matured and succeeded in conquering the king himself.

After Yuji Itadori’s awakening, the seed of Itadori Kaori finally bloomed into the perfect combination, marking the next stage of human evolution. The theory predicts that the end may not involve a battle, but rather a reunion as Kaori returns to celebrate Yuji’s success. However, a cruel twist emerges – it was all part of Kenjaku’s scheming. As a result, Yuji is faced with a significant decision, potentially paving the way for a sequel to this captivating story, Jujutsu Kaisen.

  • Why Kenjaku’s greatest creation in Jujutsu Kaisen might shatter Sukuna’s worldview, explored
  • Kenjaku might have truly loved Yuji and a forgotten Jujutsu Kaisen panel proves it
  • Jujutsu Kaisen: Not Sukuna but Kenjaku was the opponent Gojo deserved to battle in the final arc and for a good reason
