Jujutsu Kaisen Missed One Friendship Opportunity for Yuji, and Fans Are Disappointed

Fans believe that Yuji Itadori and Yuki Tsukumo would have been an entertaining duo, and Jujutsu Kaisen missed out on a chance to explore this potential dynamic.

Despite being set in a merciless world where death is a constant threat, Jujutsu Kaisen still manages to showcase the enduring power of true friendship. Yuji’s playful antics with Megumi and Nobara are a beloved aspect of the series, as is the unbreakable bond shared between Gojo and Geto.

Despite the presence of some missed opportunities, the series also features characters with comparable personalities whose interactions would have undoubtedly added some much-needed lightheartedness to the story.

Many fans believe that there is a missed friendship in the story between the protagonist and the powerful sorcerer, Yuki Tsukumo. Both characters are known for their lively and energetic personalities, as well as their desire to protect others and uphold justice.

During the Shibuya Incident, Yuji formed a strong bond with Yuki’s protégé Aoi Todo, earning him the opportunity to be mentored by the special-grade. Towards the end of the incident, they also had a brief encounter.

Although their interactions were limited in the story, Yuta’s attempt to kill Yuji and Yuki’s efforts to handle the chaos caused by Kenjaku at Shibuya marked a shift towards a more serious tone. Even after the main dangers had passed, their responsibilities forced them to take on separate roles and they were unable to cross paths again.

Yuki’s journey in the story came to an end during the Culling Game Arc when she was killed by Kenjaku. This has left fans feeling disappointed, as they wonder about the potential outcome if Yuki had not been killed and had the chance to fight alongside Yuji and Todo. One X user expressed their disappointment, stating, “It would have been amazing to see Yuki, Yuji, and Todo fighting together.”

One person chimed in, stating, “She could have had such a great teacher-student dynamic with Yuji, I’m worried.”Another person mentioned the possibility of a romantic relationship between Yuki and Choso, and added, “They were both very close to Todo and Choso. We could have had a family.”

Despite Yuki’s death, there is nothing that can be done. However, it is hoped that the remaining friends of Yuji will survive Sukuna’s rampage by the conclusion of the Shinjuku Showdown Arc.
