The leaked illustration for the Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 263, scheduled to be released on July 8, 2024, showcased Yuji and Choso. However, the official illustration of the two characters will be revealed at the end of the chapter on June 24, 2024.

The release of Chapter 263 of the series, originally scheduled for July 1, 2024 after a hiatus, was delayed for an additional week. However, this was not due to any concerns about Gege Akutami’s health, as reports stated he was recovering well. The extension of the hiatus was simply to allow the author to fully recuperate before resuming work on his manga series.

A Future That Isn’t Possible

Regrettably, Itadori and Choso coincidentally met at an inopportune place and time with conflicting intentions. Despite their shared backgrounds, they were manipulated by Kenjaku to turn against one another.

Despite a fierce and intense battle, Choso was on the verge of defeating Itadori when a mysterious flashback suddenly triggered a realization. He saw that Itadori shared similarities with him, leading him to switch sides and join the protagonist. However, during the final showdown in Shinjuku, Choso met his demise at the hands of Sukuna, right in front of Itadori. Sadly, these two characters were never able to share a peaceful moment together in the manga.

During the Death Painting arc, Nobara and Yuji successfully defeated two Death Paintings, Kechizu and Eso. These two Death Paintings happened to be the brothers of Choso, who had dedicated his life to seeking revenge on Itadori.

In the Shibuya arc, Itadori and Choso encountered each other. They used all their strategies and battled until Yuji was defeated. Just as Choso was about to avenge his brothers’ killer, he had a vision of himself sitting at a dinner table with Itadori, Esu, and Kechizu. After the vision disappeared, Choso collapsed.

After the conclusion of this arc, Choso joined forces with the protagonist and they began training together. In preparation for the Shinjuku Showdown arc, Choso asked the sorcerers to instruct Itadori in cursed techniques before he faced off against Sukuna. He suggested a strategy for Itadori to consume other Death Paintings in order to unlock his Blood Manipulation abilities.

During the battle between Itadori and Sukuna, the latter utilized his domain and managed to sever one of the protagonist’s legs. In response, Sukuna unleashed his fiery powers, targeting Itadori, but Choso intervened and blocked the attack. The two faced each other once again in the same setting as the Shibuya arc, and Choso expressed his gratitude to Itadori for being like a brother to him. Despite being burnt beyond recognition, Itadori thanked Choso, referring to him as an older brother.
