As loyal followers may recall, Ryomen Sukuna was always vigilant in safeguarding Megumi during times of peril. This was because the King of Curses saw potential in the Fushiguro as a potential host for his new vessel, given his lineage, mastery of the Ten Shadows Technique, and possession of Mahoraga.
Therefore, if Ryomen Sukuna were to become separated from his desired vessel, he would need to find a replacement promptly. Considering that Yuji Itadori was his previous vessel, he may select him due to their familiarity. Sukuna will feel tormented by his cause of death, leaving him in a state of distress. On the other hand, Yuji Itadori will carry out his grandfather Wasuke Itadori’s final wish, which was for him not to die alone. Although dying alongside Ryomen Sukuna may seem like a distorted interpretation of Wasuke’s request, it is something that Gege Akutami could potentially explore.
